Anonymous NFL scouts on Elijah Arroyo

Call me a homer, but I think he’s the best TE in the draft. Best combination of size, speed, fluidity, hands, physicality and character. Hope the Chiefs pick him.
Definitely a homer ranking tbh lol.
I definitely think it's absolutely possible he ends up the best TE. But from just a most likely and most proven at this point, I don't think there is any way Warren and Loveland aren't the top 2. Having Arroyo at #1 involves a lot more projection, even if you are confident he reaches it...

On the Consensus Big Board Warren is a top 10 player, Loveland is a top 25. Then Mason Taylor is 53, Arroyo is 67, Fannin is 77, and Ferguson is 99.
If I were actually forced to choose who to draft out of those guys but within 5 picks of their ranking, I'm DEFINITELY going to choose Arroyo and Ferguson because I think they provide great upside, and pretty good floor, and are underrated at those rankings. But in terms of just purely the better prospect, I think it's clear Warren and Loveland are superior. And I don't think anyone is crazy for having Mason Taylor slightly higher or slightly lower (but same tier) as Arroyo either. If Taylor was our TE we'd be singing his praises too, and having a HOF father and being a consistently productive player over 3 years who has a good build and is a good athlete...

i have him as 2nd and thats being unbiased. Warren blocking sets him apart but all those other tes i truly dont think hold a candle to him....and yes he would 100 percent be the travis kelce replacement so them ****** up n passing may end up them getting him late 2nd or 3rd.

Arroyo looked like a better athlete, player than taylor at sr bowl. Taylor had a good showing but it was pretty clear who was better there.

Absolutely no ******* chance he's the best TE in the draft.

Loveland and Warren are two of the best and complete TE prospects we've seen in some time.

You are a homer (thank you, and me too!) and you are right. Both things can be true.

Also, the production issue only exists because we have a QB and OC who believed that offense worked best when the ball was distributed to numerous receivers. A team with X, Arroyo, George, Brown, Horton, Martinez should distribute the ball to all the playmakers. Saying he was not productive reduces the issue to the number of catches/yards without examining the offense as a whole and understanding why.

That kind of myopic vision is what limits people in their career advancement. He is not seeing the forest for the trees
I was listening to this draft podcast and the hosts were wondering why Arroyo didn’t get more touches. I’m saying to myself you Jacoby George at Z, Restrepo in the slot, Horton AND Brown in the boundary at X and two stud running backs. I’m surprised he got the touches he did!

Neither one is as good blocking right now as Arroyo. Warren has some good highlights blocking but he’s got a lot of bad reps on tape. Loveland is basically a big slot.
