American Heritage and Mike Rumph

Why are people acting as if Rumph is forbidding his players from going to Miami when that is not the case. He may give his opinion to a kid and whether that's negative or positive about any school that's him helping out the kid. As a coach his loyalty should be with the kid.

With the way a lot of people talk on here I'm glad that most of them have no chance of ever being able to talk, mentor or influence any kids who are recruits.

I agree just don't understand why he lied & said we didn't offer Sony until late in the process.....it's like come on man..

Exactly. You see when another poster said something about this and I responded, nobody said anything....If Rumph would lie about something so ridiculous, can Miami really trust him? What else could he lie about or do when it came to one of his players?

Slaton is Carey, Linder, Jean Giles territory.

At Db: like I said they talked bout the others but to me Tyson Campbell is the best....everyone offered him after mid season highlights went out.

I’ve been familiar with them athletically for a long time, but from a distance. Without getting into any specific details, I’ve had family members compete against them in several sports. They run good athletic programs and target athletes they want. They’re well run.

I haven't followed recruiting for a while now due to Golden fatigue but how are we constantly not even in play for their players? Does Rumph have issues with the University or was it with Golden?

One of the most overblown narratives were that certain coaches hated Miami. Golden missed on two kids from heritage - sony & Torrance Gibson. Mike rumph can't force golden to offer Mckenzie, T-mac (we offered as a gesture but did not want him), dowels, Marshall Morgan, Michael deeb, Edgar, etc.

Sony decided to go to UGA because bmac recruited him for three/four years while his main recruiter for Miami, Terry Richardson, left right before his decision. Moreover, Marshall Morgan had shown him around a bunch of times and he really liked Athens. He gave Miami another look during the wake Forrest game and nothing came out of it.

Bmac and Richt have built really strong relationships with rumph and the other coaches at American heritage so there should be no doubt that we will lock that school up in the upcoming years.

Let’s hope we get Campbell and chatfield so I don’t look too bad :sanford:

Lol. Don't be so hard on yourself. [MENTION=1279]gogeta4[/MENTION] knows and understands things most don't on the high school scene. I'm sure a lot of us figured that getting Rumph would help us with local recruiting, especially at AH.

We still have a chance at all of these guys, including PSII if he visits, though I don't have much faith with him given that he's never shown us much interest and never has us on any of his lists.
