No real point to this really. Bottom line is this... Either this staff can get the players and do all the things needed to be a championship team or they can't.

They may miss out on guys like Sustain and Campbell but if the guys they do get become good/great players, AA's, 1st Rd picks etc. then it don't matter. If richt can win a national champion ship despite not getting these guys then it don't matter. If the opposite happens then there's a problem with the coaching staff.

That simple really. I'll just sit back and see what happens.

No coach that won national titles here, or anywhere for that matter, got every player they wanted. They simply got ENOUGH talent to win. Richt is doing that, and in a couple years our team will look bigger, stronger, and faster than they do today. I'm not going to worry about who we don't get, but rather be excited about who we do get.

Mother ****ers are acting like Ed Reed, Mike Rumph, Vilma, Santana Moss, Reggie Wayne, Dan Morgan, Dorsey etc., were 5 stars...

Get the right 3 and 4 star talents, develop them, and carry that National Championship trophy.
That was also 20 years ago, recruiting has continued to advance. Hard to find those diamond in the rough kids

Most the players starting in the Superbowl are 3*. There's huge numbers of diamonds in the rough.

I did see that thread but didn't think much of it considering it's the NFL and coaching and the tools available to players are far more advanced than cfb.

A more accurate representation is to look at the pro bowl and star ratings.

Especially in South Florida. However, I do believe team rankings do matter in the star systems. As long Miami is in the top 10 consistently we should be competitive.

For me I will judge Rict after he has 4 recruiting cycles. By then we will know if he’s improved from his GA days.

his recruiting at GA was good. obviously you have not been paying attention. people are looking at GA right now and seeing all these 5 star players and the #2 recruiting class. this is very rare in GA. the state is loaded this year at a lot of positions. GA has 3 top 10 QB's...that is almost unheard of from GA. the next several years won't be this great in the state.

On the contrary, it is much easier with social media and technology.

Exactly, I did not work it correctly. Recruiting sites will find those diamond's in the rough therefore tougher to truly find a "diamond in the rough" if you know what I mean.

Why don’t u ban valid? His only purpose is to troll and get people riled up. He’s not a canes fan. I’m not being a homer, but to claim we’re gettin no one left on the board is idiotic.

His list of players maybe 20 years old but the point remains wins the same. Butch Davis wanted James Carter badley. He went to FSU but Davis landed Sean Taylor. A player who was actually talked negatively about on hurricanes site by some people .

Point is you will miss on players but there other players out there who will and can help your team win. You better be able to do this if you're a big time coach or you will fail.

Rumph, Vilma, Wayne, Dorsey were known players and highly recruited. Morgan was known, not tons of offers, but known.

We get-Silvera, Ezzard and Chatman

We don't get-Coburn (Texas)

only ones I'm confident predicting.

Guesses-
Chatfield-Miami but I think it's 50/50 with UF
Briggs-Miami but 50/50 with FSU
Thompson probably won't even end up visiting us-OU but 50/50 with Mizzou
Peters-Miami if we want him, UF if we don't...
Surtain-Bama but lets see if he shows up for a OV
Campbell-UGA but lets see if he shows up for a OV
