Allan Haye SR highlights

I know you may not believe this but I have a keen eye for talent. For instance, you can search threads where I called Jake Garcia the next Marino.
You don't have to look very far with me-- I had Big Baby ranked 5th in the class and Thad 7th.

One thing to take away from all three guys failing- bad bodies are a bad sign.

Maybe it's because you are a South Florida homer

(he was in the last tier with Troutman and Brantley):
I'd have this kid much higher in the class now. HE wants to hurt people even with his smaller size. We haven't get him more looks and touches. It is easy to get open when you have kids wanting to avoid you blocking them.

Haye- he got into it with Rod during the FSU game. Makes me think he just didn't have enough WANT in him.

what a terrible class... overall...Arroyo is a maybe a stud down the line but his blocking effort this season was poor.
Kam Kinchens and LT are already legit. James Williams and Brashard Smith were starters as true sophomores. Borregales is one of the top kickers in the country. There still might be some more meat on the bone with Jacolby George, Chase Smith, Khalil Brantley, Mike McLaughlin, and Malik Curtis. I'm not ready to call the class at large "terrible."

Is Seymore really a bad body?

He’s short and has short arms. That’s not a body type issue, that is a physical limitation.

He also looks pretty FAT at this point. He could likely drop 30-40lbs around the waist. Not even sure him doing that with good muscle weight, moving to center... would keep him on the field.

A guy like him needs to be in prime shape to take advantage of his athleticism as a center. He looks slow out there and is too small to play guard.

Maybe we overrated his athleticism, but he looked plenty nimble in HS, has a pretty good shuttle time (4.9 as a soph) and his brother is a receiver.

**** D$, I hate to say it but the analysis of alot of Miami SoFla guys coming out of HS is losing credibility

Tons of guys overhyped who were actually JAGs for multiple coaching staffs now. And not because of mostly bad coaching, but because they don't have Miami level talent or skill (ie. twitch, speed, body types, football instincts, etc.)

Examples:
- Pretty much the whole 2018 class was hyped up (mostly SoFla class). The only Miami caliber guys ended up being Greg Rousseau & Brevin. Mallory and Cam Harris & DJ Ivey were decent
- 2019: Sam Brooks was hyped , class was horrible (outside of Zion, JHH, Harvey, and Clark)
- 2020: Avantae was hyped (doesn't look like he knows how to play safety). Elijah Roberts was given the "best defensive prospect in SoFla" title that year. TVD, Rivers, Chaney (when healthy), Knighton, Restrepo only players worth a **** in that class
- 2021: James Williams doesn't look like a S, no football intelligence, Romello sucks, Seymore looks like a D2 player, Jabari Ishmael is non-existent, Thad is slow, Ryan Rodriquez sounds like Seymore part 2, too undersized. Tyler Johnson was hyped up like crazy

His film in HS looked good when projecting him to Manny's defense. But, you couple the bad body type with lack of development and new scheme with a coach that wants body types...well...he didn't have a home here anymore. Probably more of a G5 or FCS type of guy at this point.

We were really slumming under Manny Diaz. We are out here getting hyped for 65 OVR players. Really needed to scout these guys, smashing square before we start recruiting.
