All the way up to 28

True, if you include the portal transfers, we’re not only in a much better 2019 class wise but we also should be rated higher than 28th. Oh well, this 2019 class quickly became a salvage job for Manny who did a brilliant job with what time he had remaining, on top of securing a completely new offensive staff. People just look at the rankings without seeing everything that was happening in the span of a month.
AMEN!

If we have a good year 9-10, wins or better. By the 2021 cycle we should good, might need more portal help 2020. Portal is gonna be ***king nuts next year. Glad we have a leg up on it. Thank u Manny.

On 24/7

Worst recruiting class in the last 25 years.
This is not on manny and not a knock on any of our commits .
Thank god the preacher is gone.

If we look at what matters most, which is average ranking, Miami is actually 22nd.

The 88.25 average rating tells us more about the value of the class per prospect. They only got 17 players, but it’s not a terrible average.

For perspective, Clemson has the 9th ranked class with an average rating of 89.76 (as of today). They have 29 players in the class so the overall rank is high because the 247 system rewards overall depth.

Considering the catastrophe the season was, the average rating is actually very close to the 2016 and 2017 classes. Win and replicate a class like 2018, blended with these transfers, and this isn’t a major setback. Miami has top end talent.

Bring me another OL and Trevon Hill via The Portal and I'm beyond fine with this class as a whole. At that point there are a TON of teams with classes ranked better than #28 that would gladly swap their class with ours.

Parker Braun

Trevon Hill and/or Jaelan Phillips

This. The class is small but talented. It's not like they just signed a bunch of fringe prospects out of desperation. They landed the blue chip guys they could and filled out the rest of the open slots with highly regarded transfers. Obviously, going forward, you'd like to see more blue chippers sign right out of high school and not have to rely on the transfer portal as much but Manny's hands were really tied this year.

If we judge this class just on defense, it's pretty effing good.

Agreed. Good defensive class. Putrid offensive class. Saving grace is that last year's offensive class was special. But, if we want to compete we need a lot more consistent special coming in on both sides of the ball.

only what 17 signing this class?

Having a very small class on top of not having a very packed 4 star bunch makes this class what it is...

If we can get some great service from the DEs/DTs/DBs/ and WR in this class Ill count it as a win going forward

28th is not accurate.. If you take the average star rating we are 22nd in the country and if you factor in the transfers we will be top 10 so I think after winning 7 games this year that's pretty amazing all told

Agree with most points posted above.

Our lowest ranked recruit will have an immediate impact.
We now have a punter who has mastered the art of the forward kick.

We added 7 4* players from HS ranks
Added 3 more blue chip transfers (Bolden, Martell, Martin)
Added 4 more impact transfers (Osborne, Hill is coming, Kennedy, DT from UCLA)

Lots of instant impact players coming in, that 28 number is misleading
What going on with Phillips...

WTF are you talking about? Al Golden had a 33 ranked class in 2011. However, we were almost this bad in 2015 if it makes you feel better.
