I believe it was academics, I know the kid was an absolute baller, unfortunately never got the credit and didn't help himself out as much to get what he deserved.

Yeah they're not reliable at all.
Generally the kid's high school coach is responsible for keeping/listing their stats, and in most causes that's not a reliable source. (for obvious reasons)

I do know where Payton ultimately ends up position wise. But, he wanted to be a backer. There’s things to work with with Ishmael. Columbus had him doing a lot of other things besides rushing the passer.
