all american games

I'm out here as one of the few non-reporters, family etc. I too thought Williams looked very small. I actually double checked the roster because with just Williams on his jersey I thought maybe there was another.

Upon a cursory glance, he is not that much bigger if at all than Matthew Thomas.

To be fair, the more recent reviews on Tim Williams are a lot more complimentary. His size seems to be more disappointing than his play.

TC, What are your thoughts on the Miami prospects out there?

I stayed mostly with the white team (Nitro?) because thats the one Olsen and Burns are on with Coley. Kirkland and Thomas are on the other team and on a different field.

Olsen threw pretty good. Loves the TE it seemed. His QB teammates were Shane Morris and Brice Ramsey. He was def better than Morris today and as good or better than Ramsey. Had a nice tight spiral.

Burns was locking down WRs and the QBs didn't seem to throw to his side much. He was def playing CB and not S.

To be fair though, a lot of WRs ran the wrong routes apparently and they just got here and this is the first time many of these guys have played together so one of the coaches said today was kind of expected. Said the O will develop during the week.

I've been saying for months that Tim Williams is a long way from being a productive college football players. The gurus on RGT fought me on that, but the dude is simply too small to expect anything from him for at least a couple years. Lots of dudes were claiming he's one of those guys who can walk right in and start sacking QBs at this level. I don't see it.

First time I saw him he looked a little bit bigger than McCord but certainly didn't have McCords freakish fast twitch. Could have just been smaller competition though.

I don't expect Williams to contribute early..... BUT.... "He has trips set to Alabama (1/11), Florida State (1/25), and LSU (2/1)." <- I like seeing those 3 schools offering official visits from DE/LBs that we're recruiting.
