Alex Collins reports in with....

Can confirm what JHallCanes is reporting about his announcement, but I can't confirm when it will take place. LOL

Anyway, Collins also said he would rate the trip a high 8, 9, or 10. To me, in recruit speak - 8 or 9 or 10 - means, "thank you kindly for the visit to your bucolic community...but I'm headed to Coral Gables." In all my years following recruiting I can't recall a kid mentioning 8 as a possible ranking for a school immediately following a visit. Most would probably just say I had a great visit and leave it at that. If he had wanted to say it was a 10 he would have called it a 10 - no harm in doing so. Kids do it all the time. Claim they had a great trip and then commit to where they really want to go on NSD. If he had wanted to say it was a 9 he could have said that - because truthfully that's not that bad either, but he didn't do that. I think that since Alex is an honest and affable kid who having not been indoctrinated into our culture of straight talk (see notably Kevin Patrick, Warren Sapp, and Michael Irvin) did not want to tell Razorback Nation the visit was more like a low 6. In short he took the high road after having his arm twisted to go in the first place.

Yeah, I'm not making that up.

No idea what the connection is there.

Rivals put up an article that he'll announce on signing day.

I'm getting my info from an exact quote from Collins FWIW. Maybe he changed his mind.

Can someone explain to me how this seems like a good thing for us? Not trolling here, but I dont get the connection. If he's coming here, why would he be announcing to an Atlanta radio station? Granted Atlanta is not exactly FSU or Arkansas territory either, but it is SEC country. Kind of worries me. Especially with all the recent stuff about multiple "adults" trying to push him out of state. This kid and Thomas are the two Im most worried about. Coley would be a nice treat, but Ive never felt we were in the drivers seat, nor was he critical to this class, and if we get Bostwick, I can live without KB. Im going to be pretty bummed if we miss on Thomas and Collins. Wish I could share the optimism on here, but I still see a lot of warning signs.

He's switching it up completely and going with GT and the triple option.....no but really, this makes little sense. The quote where he mentions it, was there no follow up question? "Any particular reason for choosing Atlanta?" would've been helpful.

Alex will not be very happy next year if he goes to Ark.

They have to go on the road to Bama, LSU, UF and Ole Miss without an experienced QB. Please note they lost to BAMA 52-0 last year AT HOME!!!!

Tyler Wilson is gone and ARK's returning QB's attempted a total of 57 passes last year.

Alex is going to be severely dissapointed if he chooses Ark and didn't realize what he was getting into.

It is going to take Bulimia 2-3 years to turn that roster over to suit a power running game. Until then, ARK is going to suck big time.

Agree on all points.

lol uf already has 2 backs and isn't even in it for collins, why would muschamp be negatively recruiting? lame

Because that's the type of guy Muschamp is... Plus he'll have to play Miami in Sept with Collins. Wouldn't be a fun day for him & his crew!

He'd put up a billion yards in GT's offense.

Not true... Worst part about the triple option is the best RB is usually the one to get taken away first by the defense. And that odometer would be completely run down by the end if his 3rd year

I don't think anyone's saying it's a good thing he's announcing on an Atlanta radio station. Why is it a bad thing? I think it would be wise to gather more info on it before taking the typical glass half-empty approach because Atlanta isn't Arkansas either, and, no, it isn't the hub of the SEC either. Atlanta is actually the home of GT, not UGA.

Maybe it would be a good idea to see whose show he is announcing on. If it's the Darren McFadden and Felix Jones Power Hour, then we're probably sunk.

And triple option is not hard to defend once you become familiar with and prepare for e.g how we dealt with them in last few games. Unless of course your QB name is Kaepernick and he throws an accurate 92 mph baseball.

If I had to guess, I'd bet it is a radio show that is in Atlanta, but broadcasts nationally or at least regionally (SE). It would make ZERO sense to announce on an Atlanta station that only broadcasts locally.

I kind of finding it hard to believe he is announcing on a radio station Vs a TV station. Grace delayed his announcement so that he can be on ESPN which is understandable. But using a radio station and in a city where nobody knows him? Strange to say the least.

It's probably a college football show on satellite radio or something. Many of those shows are based in the SE. Would make zero sense to announce on a local Atlanta station. Perhaps he chose a location for his announcement that wouldn't give the drama away. If he went on with Joe Rose to announce, then it'd be pretty obvious who he was picking.

I don't know where Bill King's show is based, but he's on Sirius every day, and he's a huge college football guy.
