So % wise is like 80???
Like Kirkland was this time last week lulzzzzzzz

Posts like this are just ignorant. Clearly you have not followed recruiting for very long. Things Change VERY quickly. When Pete posted those % they were true at that time. However, things changed as they often do at this point in recruiting.

I'm not going to rip Pete or deny that things can change very quickly in recruiting, however, in Thomas' case specifically, if I recall correctly Pete gave much better than average odds that Thomas was leaning towards signing with us. Now recent info being revealed (some by Ice Harris himself) reveals that not only was UM's recruitment of Thomas a uphill climb from the beginning but that FSU has remained right there with us for him even with the late momentum we had. Knowing what we know now I'd have to conceed that some criticism of the overly optimistic odds given for MT6 is justified..

This is a fair criticism. But again, people need to keep it in perspective. Pete does not have a crystal ball, nor does he have some great source in deep with MT. To me, the whole thing never made sense. All these lofty predictions about how the kid was a lock, and he basically had to be brow beaten and begged just to bless us with a last minute mid week OV. Kid never wanted to be here. Whoever was feeding Pete info was full of sht, hope he's done with that "source".

I agree that it is fair with regards to MT. However, regarding Kirkland everybody had him coming to The U as recently as last week. H*ll Warchant basically said "FSU has no shot, count them out." The information about Thomas has varied depending on the source. Both FSU and Miami have felt good about him. I think he probably lead both staffs to feel this way. I dont know what happened with Kirkland but like I said basically everybody had him signing with UM until a day or two ago.

With six I always tried to remain optimistic that he'd be like Tracy and realize at the end of the day that he'd wanna stay home, but at least Tracy took a WEEKEND official visit with his friends, while like cane 4life said 6 almost didn't even take one and just kinda squeezed one in midweek, this just gave me the impression that it just wasn't a huge priority for him, but then people were like don't worry it's the same thing, he can visit whenever he wants, why bother an official weekend when he lives so close, but the reality of the matter is that 99 percent of kids who we get, even if they live 5 minutes away, take the weekend OV, that's just how it is

completely agree. I hope some people have realized when to see the writing on the wall rather than giving in to the circle jerk fest at times. C4L warned everybody to stop fapping when all signs seemed to point differently but mob mentality took over. it would be nice to believe some lessons were learned but I doubt it

2nd most important recruit in this class (to Olsen) and the 2nd most talented recruit (to Thomas).

For next season, he may be the most important guy to come in.

Agree, I want Thomas the most, Collins will likely make the bigger impact immediately.

Yeah weather not a big factor. He obviously didn't visit Wisconsin in the last week, otherwise he wouldn't say that and would eliminate the Badgers. -11 windchill -30 on Thurs or Fri in Madison.
