This tells me 2 things: One, Alabama was not ready for this early signing period and didn't realize that kids would actually not wait on them. Two , they don't feel overly confident on who is left.

I’m not sure if it was Saban or an unarmed coach, but the media was saying some coaches in the playoffs said the early signing period really hurt them. Said there just wasn’t enough time for gameplanning plus recruiting.

Sure didn’t seem to affect Georgia’s recruiting.
