Throwing 57% is not “exceptional.” I don’t know what good throws Rosier made. The only decent throw he made was the TD to Thomas. He was throwing off his back foot a lot, and the fade to Cager is probably a pick six against a real team.

Also several of his completions WR made great adjustments or had to stop running/slow down. Defense absolutely struggled, especially when JJ went down and the dline looked a little gassed. thats just who malik is -- inconsistent and this isnt going to be the game that even should silence his doubters. just saying, for today only, he wasnt the biggest issue and def bailed out our D. Hes never going to be the accurate QB we need esp our skill talent, but his legs helped big time today. what is more concerning to me is the D that nearly blew it for us.

third and long -- throw to cager on the sidelines in the third or fourth quarter when it was still a 1 maybe 2 score game.

Malik played a decent game today but some of you guys are really stretching the adjectives

He threw the worst fade pass Ive ever seen and it ended up a TD. He still just guesses when deciding to give it off or run.

He still barely completes 50% of his passes.

But whatever

I didn't call his completion percentage exceptional, I called the totality of his play exceptional. From standing in the pocket under the rush and making timely third down throws, to some great pulls on the read option and using his legs well, no turnovers, 5 TD's etc.

From someone that has been critical of him and factoring in what I've seen from him lately, I was impressed by his game today. I can be objective and give credit where it's due.

Yo that fade pass was awful. If that’s a better DB there is no doubt in my mind that’s a pick.

Gerald Willis is one of the best DTs Miami has ever had. 1st round talent and best DT in the country.
 
Rosier is still streaky...I doubt any of us will ever feel comfortable when he drops back to pass...having watched several other games, there are many better QB's on some mediocre teams. Of course we can only speculate on our backups and if the defense had played better in the second half we might have seen one of them actually get REAL game time...

Rosier definitely was not exceptional. He played a tough, hard-nosed game which realistically is the best we can ask of him. Occasionally, he will make the nice throw, but he is not a QB who can make those exceptional throws on a consistent basis and win games with his arm.

He simply is not an elite QB and will never be.

The secondary without JJ was horrific. Shows how much they depend on his leadership.

Both lines played well, but our special teams unit is bad. That's another area that must be upgraded significantly - talent and coaching.

Nice win on the road overall.
 
sucked seeing JJ go out especially with Carter not making the trip. carter and hall will start next year but boy do we need depth there and on the rest of the defense.

It also wasn't exceptional. I don't know how anyone went past that sentence.
