According to sources: Mario Cristobal will be the next Head Coach at Miami

So Manny fired and Mario hired in one announcement? Does anyone know if this has ever happened before in college football? I'm not a college football junkie like many here so I don't know.

This sob show that OU fans and Manny are giving is ridiculous. Manny has been on this mission since the MSU game being pictured “reflective” after various games and thinking about his future. Now Oregon fans are talking about a $hitshow, but less than a week ago, it was “c’mon, try to pry him from our grip”. We have been after one and only one target. It has been his dream job forever. He is 51 and won’t have many more opportunities to make a reality than now and HE can be the one credited with bringing us back to the ways of Schnelly, JJ, Erickson. What better story could there be.

Yes, this has been a disaster publicly, but Manny will be fine and Oregon will find someone worthwhile to take over their HC position. We have been publicly linked to wanting Mario for no less than 2 months and they have sat on their hands. This was a possibility and they are maki g it seem like a surprise.

I hope this goes down as planned and we have a new coach tomorrow. All will be right in our works at that point. Go Canes!

Pretty good article just sums stuff up
“Miami has come to a sudden realization about how far behind its program is and the new leaders aren’t going to care about bad optics and hurt feelings.”

The most beautiful thing written about Miami in a long, long time.

At least they didn't mention monkey ****.

For reference

"The Waiting"

Oh baby don't it feel like heaven right now
Don't it feel like something from a dream
Yeah I've never known nothing quite like this
Don't it feel like tonight might never be again
We know better than to try and pretend
Baby no one could'a ever told me 'bout this
I said yeah yeah

The waiting is the hardest part
Every day you see one more card
You take it on faith, you take it to the heart
The waiting is the hardest part
Maybe the greatest song writer ever. Love Tom rip Tom

Not complaining one bit believe me!
I'm sure they wished it all would've timed better but it is what it is.
If manny was looking at the Alabama job (in another strange alternative universe) while employed by Miami.. no one would give a **** if UM was being strung along behind the scenes. I don’t see why it can go that way but not roles reversed.

I believe we’ll be hearing something on AD soon too.

That seems to be the part of this with more of a question mark. You have been very confident on the Mario front but the AD front still seems unsettled at worst. If i am wrong about that let me know but thats what i gather from just reading.

"Can Miami reclaim relevance? Diaz’s potential parting gift is quarterback Tyler Van Dyke, a young star who threw 25 touchdowns and just six interceptions as a freshman. He’s an elite building block for whoever is next, assuming he doesn’t enter the transfer portal to see how the bidding war unfolds."

I can't even begin to process this stupidity. Bidding war? Is Thamel outright saying other programs are going to pay TVD money?
