We play on Thursday, that much we know. We'll be either the #2 or the #3 seed. Can't get the #1 seed after the loss.

If UNC and UVA lose, we finish tied for first, but get the #2 seed.

UNC (13-5), Miami (13-5), UVA 12-6

If UNC wins and UVA loses, we finish 2nd and get the #2 seed.

UNC (14-4), Miami (13-5), UVA (12-6)

If UVA wins and UNC loses we finish tied for first but get the #3 seed.

UVA (13-5), UNC (13-5), Miami (13-5)

If UVA wins and UNC wins we finish tied for 2nd and I don't know which seed we get.

UNC (14-4), Miami / UVA (13-5)

Or, I could be wrong. Someone posted this on twitter:

#Canes Scenarios:

UNC & UVA loss = 1seed, share ACC Title

UNC & UVA Win = 3seed

UNC L & UVA W = 3seed, share ACC

UNC W & UVA L = 2seed

I don't think the quality of opponent changes greatly if your the 2 or 3 seed.

If you get the 3 or 4 seed, I think there is a chance you could play a team playing their 3rd game against you.

VT looks like the 6 seed and we should be the 3 if UVA hangs on (up big early)

We lose the tiebreaker to UVA bc they have a better record against UNC
 
Actually really interesting. FSU should be the 11 and will probably be favored over VT in the 6/11 game
 
Would be nice to get vt on a neutral floor for some revenge.

Although Washington DC probably has a lot of Hokies.

Love our matchups. We will destroy VT if we get to play them again, and avoiding a potential UNC game until the finals is a good thing.

I'd much rather play VT/FSU in the Quarters than Clemson, Clemson always does well against us

Option A: play FSU who would be playing their 3rd game in 3 days. Can we beat them 3 times in one season? How much energy do they have left?

Option B: play VT who played the night before. Can VT beat us twice in 5 days?

Game is on a neutral floor and both teams played at least 1 game already. Newton is back and we should win either way.

Win, stay healthy and move on.

I don't like the idea of having to beat the same team, especially a rival, 3 times in one year. Also, I think FSU has a lot more talent than their play this year has shown. That said, they would be playing their 3rd game in 3 days. I highly doubt VT would beat us 2 of 3, and twice in 5 days. VT did play us tough in Miami for a half, but both games against VT were without Newton, who we would have back. I'd rather play VT.
 
NC State was up 53-50 on Duke at the half. The half:canes3: It's now 63-62 Duke with 14 left.
 
Duke beats NCSU 92-89.

UNC-Pitt and Duke-ND in one set of Quarters on the other half of the bracket. Looks like it could be an ND-UNC Semis. I'm sure the refs will do all they can for that to happen.
