Yeah, the day the NFL has a committee picking a 10-7 AFC North team over a 11-6 AFC East team because they "feel" the AFC North team has more quality wins and losses is the day I'll start rooting for the Jills, Jests, and Patsies. And even then, I'd be doing it for Dolphin advantage, not any pride in the rest of the AFC East.Because it doesn’t matter in the NFL? It’s purely merit based in the NFL. There’s no beauty contest to determine who gets into the playoffs and who doesn’t.
While in college football, who you beat, how you beat them, and the optics around your program/conference are incredibly important.
I don’t give a sh*t about Clemson or Georgia Tech. But a GT win vs a potential SEC champion in Georgia is ABSOLUTELY massive.
Clemson has been dogged by their weak schedule. There’s a stat out there that’s like Clemson has only beaten 1 team with a winning record. A win vs USCe validates that there may be more parity between the conferences then people think.
I want utter SEC failures.
UL over UK
GT over UGA
Miss St over OleMiss
FSU over UF
Vandy over UT
Clemson over usce
Auburn over Bama
Arkansas over Missouri
OU over LSU
I may have to go with Texas over ATM. They are in no matter the case so may as well push atm out with a fourth loss. Plus that hurts ND.
Speaking of ND, let’s see USCw beat them.
Intra. The inter-conference lovefest has always been bizarre.
Do you see Jets fans rooting for the Patriots or Bills or Dolphins, and chanting “AFC EAST!”?
Kiffin can **** off with those comments, now with that being said - I’m rooting for GT this weekend because it strengthens our schedule.
Clemson I could give two ***** about.
Came across On3's post about Lane Kiffin crapping on Clemson as well as the ACC & Big12 as a whole. I like many of you HATE the ACC as a staff, record label and mf crew. One thing I noticed however, is the mediocre SEC teams talk down on everyone else like they are big **** and its hilarious. I would never pull for a hated ACC foe for conference pride but idk starting to hope Clemson beats the ***** and FSU by some miracle beat UF, granted I thrive off negativity and enjoy chaos among other fanbases. Just find it crazy how middle tier SEC teams ride off the coattails of Bama and recently UGA and act like big dogs. Should we begin to pull for ACC when up against SEC going forward? Or just remain indifferent? Ngl getting tired of the SEC hypotheticals!
I come in peace, don't jump me - Happy Thanksgiving!
agree. And yes, it is true that Clemson has only beaten one team with a winning record: Pitt, with an overall record of 7-4. And in conference, Pitt is now 3-4, so have a losing record.Because it doesn’t matter in the NFL? It’s purely merit based in the NFL. I want South Carolina to dog walk Clemson. Can’t stand Dabo and Clemson fansThe inter-conference lovefest has always been bizarre.
