DB Elam, Kaiir 11 Benjamin School --I always questioned is long speed as at 6-1/182 (Nike) pounds Malloy has the same speed and is much bigger. Also Elam's short shuttle is surpassed by many LBs
Thanks for posting

Mallroy's 100m time was into a -1.0mps headwind....with no head wind 11.10. His best 100m is 11.00.....he is in a lot of heats and races 110m Hurdles and 100m. will be interesting with favorable conditions to see him break 11.00 in the 100m. He will definitely play somewhere this season.

Pope just cruising through the prelims

Burn's heat in 110m hurdles into a -1.5 mps headwind (14.22 no head wind) His best event in 300mH and open 400m

Please don’t put weight on and allow it to come naturally because he is no bigger than Cager and Langham. He is just another big WR and staff needs to get JC TE to come in with jordan. Njoku and Mallory replaces Cager and Langham!

Alphonso Blades's 4 x 100 meter relay team make easy qualifying time to next round. First Place. He will also run on the 4 x 400m relay Saturday.

Blades just missed qualifying for the state finals in the individual 400m. His running on that first place 4 x 100 meter relay teams shows that in a number of people there is a correlation between the 400m and 100m as a few people on this site refuse to accept.

He has a different frame than either of those 2. Also remember how skinny those 2 were as frosh.

People who run short distances have more fast twitch fibers than ones who run longer races which tend to have more slow twitch fibers. It’s a direct correlation

THat is fi
Let’s unpack this once and for all.

1. Almost 20 men have run under 44 seconds for 400m, only one has run under 10 seconds and I highly doubt a single one would have ever made a global final (3-4 rounds). If I had to guess they were anywhere from 10.10-10.40 speed. Still seriously fast, but certainly not 100m sprinters. It’s relative. Could they run 4.3 football 40’s? All. Day. Long.

2. You’d be a fool to apply the same above standard to high school kids. They’re not nearly as trained in int/extensive tempo and special endurance. Specifically, and this is where the debate began: you can’t tell how fast a high school kid is over 40 yds by what his 400m time is. Especially when the 400m time is over 50 seconds. Yes, I realize Blades is under 50, but not far enough to conclude he’s a burner. Is he plenty fast enough to play corner? I believe so. But that doesn’t mean he can run a 4.4 or consistently under 4.6 either.

Lets see actual lab tested documented research not opinion or partial conjunctures based upon what you or any other individual proports to be fact. Again, show actual documented research.

What distances are you comparing for your correlation? Cannot compare a 50 meter dash to a 1,500 meter run or a 200m to a 5k run. Top flight high jumpers have some if not the top concentration of white/explosive muscle of any athletes to be able to explode over bars 7 to 8 feet but how many of the have even near world class sprinting speed at 50m, 100m??

Man this was about how some of our baller's are doing in various track events at the state level. All this ***** of comparing sprints, age, size, etc. if made for another site. There are as many opinions on what speed is as there is what beauty is. I saw an article recently I believe in Track World where Olympic shot putters had slightly more white muscle/fast twitch than their counterpart sprinters and they are 300 pounds or more. I am sure they are not going to run a 4.4--40.

Unpack it somewhere else on a track web.
