Not the first time nor the last. It’s happened multiple times with portal kids this go round . But people say the guy is a nobody and just a Twitter guy. People owe some posters an apology for calling it crazy talk. Now you have real life proof with a very reliable source.

And I apologize. I honestly thought he was a hype man and special teams assistant. This news is…..unsettling.

I wouldn’t exactly say “at lighting speed” or “aggressive” regarding Miami movements in the portal but, ****, what do I know.

why does it make sense that a LB coach who is unlikely to return given we fired our DC, to be handling all evaluation and leading/deciding about the recruitments including setting up visits on their own without actual approval from the people put in the power to approve such things?

Like it's one thing to say Dennis Smith shouldn't be in charge of this cause he's not a good evaluator. I'd think we all want that to change. But it is also VERY true that the guy that is a dead man walking shouldn't be completely operating autonomously from the people actually given the power and put in charge of the offers/visits... Like what if Dennis smith was actually good at his job... Would it still make any sense that the lb coach about to be fired is sending out offers and setting up visits without actual approval to do so?

This may be a situation where if it’s as bad as said then the money boosters need to get involved to find out WTF is going on and why is it happening.

... But Dnich shouldn't/won't even be a coach here anymore lol we are about to hire a new DC. Why should he be empowered to bring in who he wants? In general that's bad unless the guy serving as the GM is actually good at evaluating (which don't think Dennis Smith is) but in this current situation the guys running the recruiting department that are actually returning should have final say over the dead men walking tbh...

Just more reason Mario should have fired Guidry before the bowl game and had a replaying place already. Then they could have final approval..

I don’t disagree a bit. If D Nich is on the way out he shouldn’t be in there either. I have no confidence in what D Smith has been doing based on the guys in here you know are connected to things.

I made a thread on it. I love the canes and want the best for them. The hope was to bring some of this BS to light and maybe it would change if not then unwanted him out.

Soooo many ppl attacked. Meanwhile a bunch of credible posters were backing it up. Still lots of attacks. No need for apologies.. just want this issue fixed.
