I mean, my brother went there…he wins 7-8?most years with the occasional 10 win, Sugar Bowl type of season when he has a QB and he’ll have that job for life.

And he would absolutely coach circles around what we put on the field this season.

I remember that year they signed a class outside the top 10, people out here thought the sky had fallen down.

Signing 11 players is a nightmare for him now as the portal hits have to be many.

I agree with the above, he didn’t plan to be there after this year & honestly he’s so petty and vocal about their NIL situation I can see him not pressing as a way to get them to pony up more for NIL

Good morning.

I’ll start out with stating the 2 teams average recruiting rank over the last 3 years:
Duke- #53
Ole ****- #22

To answer your question:
Duke played 2 defenses with a pulse, not including us (that was a joke).

Mississippi
Very Good- Bama, Kentucky
Better than good- TA&M, Troy
Good- LSU, MSU

24 ppg with a high score of 31 vs A&M
These teams gave up an average of 21 ppg vs everyone else they played.

The rest- GT, Arky, Tulsa, Auburn, Vandy, Central Arky

38 ppg

#22 ranked recruiting ranking, #22 offensive scoring ranking, 24 ppg vs good defenses which gave up 21 ppg vs everyone else they played, I’ll give you “slightly better than average” on O for Mississippi.

With a #53 ranked recruiting ranking and #23 offensive scoring ranking vs mostly ****** defenses, I’ll give Duke a “slightly better than average” grade as well.

Where are we?
The only thing I’ll say here is, it is possible to make a comment about another coach without having it relate to Miami.
The comment was “watch what he does” with that class.
Duke was listed right below Ole Miss, which is why I compared the 2 with base numbers.
TBH, I was surprised at the Mississippi numbers after I dug in a little more.

We were 87th vs p5 BTW 😭
