One minute he’s a great X’s & O guy where everyone wants to play in his offense, but for some reason he can’t recruit well enough for players to play in his offense, although he’s a top 25 recruiter
I mean a test to it it...his 3rd string rb was our best rb this year. Ole Miss has a top 10 offense brah..they arent really hurting there so far. He got his last qb drafted in the 3rd round finishing seventh in the Heisman Trophy voting.

I mean you can be a great recruiter and still dont recruit at the same level of Bam, Lsu, UGA im not sure whats that hinting to or thinking OLE MIss should or will ever be to that level. I mean they bought out a class and STILL wasnt to that level with Freeze...and were buying with Orgeron and same thing.

Not sure if you know but Arkansas did reallyw ell in the portal..just like Ole Miss. Miss State is a **** rivalry game and the two programs are on par regardless...but they lost by 2 in a rivalry game there. TX Tech bad bowl loss.

I dont know about the fan boy stuff i just know he is a better football coach than Mario Cristobal. Doesnt make a fan boy or a less of a um fan to admit that...Yall wasnt afraid to admit who were better than Manny ...what changed?.

Still scoring points though.

Seems to me in this really good class we landed(i really like it)...that a certain someone had a tough time landing talent at QB and wr..(wide receivers that werent lay ups ..Washington/Joseph) directly cause of not beng able to score points.......and what do you know is gonna have to be scrummaging through the portal like.......Lane Kiffin.

Right, like you admitted last week, every team is going to fill needs through the portal. You're defending a guy who is relying on the portal instead of high school players.

U keep bringing up way better offensively; what has that equated to at the P5 level?

One minute u say wins & losses are not the barometer, but yet u keep bringing up wins & losses. So if we wanna bring up wins & losses, let’s tell the whole story while giving two fcks about context; b/c, Lord knows ya’ll hate context w/ Mario at FIU. So let’s stop the bull chit & just be black & white:

Did Mario suck year 1 here at Miami? Yes!
Did Kiffin suck year 1 at Ole Miss? Yes!

Did Mario suck at FIU? Yes!
Did Kiffin suck at FAU? No!

Did Mario suck w/ UO? No!
Did Kiffin suck at SC? Yes!
Did Kiffin suck at UTenn? Yes!
Did Kiffin suck w/ The Oak Raiders? Yes!
Is Kiffin currently sucking w/ Ole Miss 2022? Yes!

So tally ‘em up & see how much better of a coach Kiffin is based upon “history.”

If U remove FAU from his résumé, Kiffin’s HC record at the P5 level is 58-34 (.630). & Since ya’ll like to include everything, it’s 63-49 (.563) at the P5 & NFL level.

If I were to remove Cristobal’s FIU record, he’s 40-20 (.670)

So in essence, Kiffin is a much better coach b/c of his time at FAU compared to Mario’s time at FIU. U’re in love w/ a glorified G5 coach who has struggled against better competition, while dogging a guy who struggled as a 1st time HC at arguably the worst FBS program in America (not a hyperbole, literally stats validates this), yet became an accomplished P5 coach?

This is what we call an irony.

But ive stated this before ...Ole Miss is a program that has always used the portal...they have a juco system in their state and them and MISS State routinely placed and sign those types and transfers.

Now what i do believe is ...Lane knows he is in the pressure cooker of the sec west....He likely sees for him to get over the hump or really be competitive he will need to be more portal heavy than typically and has went with that strategy. Hes pretty much stated it himself.

Had he came here like Mario after his first 2 or so years i doubt he wouldve been or would be portal heavy because recruiting talent here in miami out of high school is just at a different level done a place like Ole Miss.

Me and @Rellyrell been going at it for years in reference to Mario Cristobal so h e knows where i stand on that lol....( Most of what is aid about him has already come to fruition and that is in year 1).

its a solid back n forth honestly...

My preference of the two was the Lane Train. But can admit to the deficiancies and strength of both.

Believe what you want. Doesn't change anything. Lane is an above-average coach who gets attention because he's arrogant and sends out funny tweets. He's not a program builder or a championship coach.
