That last point is the only reason why he’s on anyone’s radar. It’s not the coaching. Like I said earlier, I think Shane Beamer is doing better as a coach. He just doesn’t have the Tweets.

Well, I have five to put up. And three of them are bad. You have three, and only one is bad. Mario was Miami’s coach when Oregon played Oklahoma.

Youre correct about Oklahoma. I forgot it was after utah.

Point remains i left off the 3rd loss. Same as i left off others of lane.

Since we’re only counting Lane’s two expected losses, Mario only lost to Florida State and Clemson this year.

Fair. But thst is the problem. In your statement regarding holding onto something that happened 12 years ago (basically exciting his UT and USC classes) and if you are excluding his time at FAU, he has only been a P5 coach for 3 of those years coming into this year. So you are basically only looking at his time at ole miss.
 
Kiffin lost to Alabama and LSU
Cristobal lost to Clemson and FSU

Those two guys must have had pretty good seasons.

So losing to Texas Tech is because of the SEC schedule. Got it.

That one year makes a difference? We can revisit this at the end of Lane’s 4th season.
 
Also, Mario had the opportunity for another loss only because he made it to the conference championship game. Lane wouldn’t know about that.

Only in this thread is 8-5 better than 10-3. Because, you know, Arkansas is in the ACC but Utah is only Pac12.
