Where did the Daylon Charlot thread go? Didn't think for a second we had a shot, but was it deleted?

Strange. The Brow got cold feet or was told to keep it quiet? I'm leaning toward we had no shot.

Either bad info or told to keep it quiet. If the kid really did secretly visit despite being told not to, that's not something the school would want out before NSD.

Check out this nonsense...

@mattyports: Miami could still add several helpful pieces to this class, which is not loaded with star power but fills a lot of needs.

You know what every program that wants to compete for anything meaningful really needs? Star power. Not coal shovelers. This class sets us back even further, if that's even possible at this point.

And it's not like we're filling a lot of needs anyways, so it's a completely ridiculous line of thinking. QB, LB, and CB depth aren't being helped whatsoever in this class. We'll likely add only 1 WR. But we're bringing in about a half-dozen OL -- a few of whom shouldn't even be in any Miami class -- so that'll solve everything.

Mich St, TCU, and Baylor are all filled with coal shovelers and they were in the Top 5 at some point this year! So don't knock the coal shovelers when they are properly coached.

Go Canes

2 of those teams have NEVER won a championship. The one that has hasn't won one since the 60's. Fvck a team full of coal baggers.

If you are corching the Canes there is no excuse not to sign a couple of bona fide SUPERSTARS in every class. NO EXCUSE AT ALL!

We will agree to disagree on this subject. Golden has put all us Canes fans on edge. Maybe I'm not making sense anymore.

it isn't that you were necessarily wrong. WR production under the previous staff did suck. It is that you attempted to use things as proof that the future staff will suck as well.

you also attempted to use guys that never played a down (either transferred, never made it, or got kicked out) as proof that the wr are not developed. That is not very logical.

and disagreed with the "go to die" part. Guys like Robinson and even dunbar overcame awful coaching and even worse QB play to put decent careers together all things considered.

They might suck at getting production at WR but it wont have anything to do with what happened under muschamp.

Do you come around here to feel better about your school hiring another glorified coordinator that lost his last game to friggin' Air Force? You might be a swell dude that some people around here (strangely) enjoy debating but how about you just beat it? For those of us that actually live in South Florida, we get plenty of real life interaction with Gayta deludinoids and apologists. Having to see them engage in similar debates on a friggin Canes board is just excessive. Let us wallow in our own misery. You go wallow in yours and tell us in 3 years how Foley is a great AD and will make the right hire THIS time.
ok

Dumbest mindest ever. Teams that have to resort to corching up "coal-shovelers" on a year after year basis don't do so voluntarily. They do so in the case of Michigan State because the entire midwest has dried up as recruiting grounds for anything but O-linemen and they did so (in the past) at the Texas schools mentioned because they had to take the UT and Oklahoma scraps. Briles and Patterson ain't exactly focusing on the 2 star kids with "high motors" and "football intelligence" any longer.

This. LOL at coal shovelers. We know what the successful formula for Miami is. We don't need to rewrite it.

FYI, tokengator lives in Wilton Manors. He has his finger on the plug when it comes to S FL recruits.

He has his finger in something there, that's for sure.

Unfortunately, over the last couple years he must be more dialed into our guys.

Golden's a total bum. That's known. Let's call that a constant and push it aside. But holy chit @ Ice going 1-2 with 3 BTW kids we desperately wanted. Hard to see what value we're getting there if that's the outcome in a year we really need to land BTW kids. D'onofrio could've gone 1-2 as the lead recruiter with those 3.

I don't think this is about Ice, man. Golden is toxic in SoFla. Not even Ice can save his ****. How do the kids even know if Ice will be retained when Golden gets canned?

Same way I don't judge players because of Golden, I have a hard time judging guys like Coley, Ice, Hurlie.

We don't know if they guys have the power to offer kids, where they are recruiting, etc. Who knows what Golden even allows them to do? That Bartow Q&A pretty much sums up this exact point. Coley, Ice, Beard, Baez know the area, if it was their choice I'm sure they would be hitting SFla 100x harder.

Yeah a man's booty hole...

Pete pulling a Golden. No where to be found. 10pm and this guys says at 10am this morning predictions to come.

Stay Tuned part 2

We shouldn't have to have coal shovelers coached up. Cook, Lane, Rudolph, and I'm sure other South Florida kids walked right into big time programs, and got right to it.
