Good article on our situation

The parts I made it through had some valid points... but all in all, it was very biased.

That’s when the Miami fan base. . . which Al Golden is quickly discovering oscillates wildly between rabid anger and absurd bravado depending on how the team is playing.

Spot on.

"All in all I didn't read the whole thing but it was very biased" ok my pal.

Article makes some great points. Hopefully we can win these next three with the offense and special teams playing clean games so we can remove any excuse for Golden to use for the defense.

how is ti biased?

He actually said Golden exaggerated about the state of the program he inherited. Basically said the impact of the NCAA scandal was overblown (that's what i took him as inferring), talks about AG having all this talent (despite having signed only 2 full classes) but not overcoming the sanctions (on pace for a 10 win season isn't good enough apparently), says there has been no progress on the field (even if we've taken a step back, our strength at the point of attack is night and day different) & that we'd have a losing record if we played a tough schedule.. For a guy who doesn't like assuming, he did a lot of it. Quit reading there.

Sounds like some bleacher report type crap

Not biased at all...if anything that might have been the most unbiased thing ive read on any topic in a while

pretty good analysis. a bid damming of golden (rightfully so). one of the best points he makes is one i have been saying for a long time. golden has turned around the program but what really counts is on the field wins. we have not yet seen that and even though we do not have the talent we need we should have seen some improvement.

Assuming we win out (favored in all 3 games), we will finish the regular season with 10 wins.. (11 is a possibility w/ the bowl game) Perhaps we did benefit from an easy schedule but double digits wins hasn't happened since '03.

I agree with the article. Win out, and we're still a team on the rise. Lose a game or two, and this season has been a failure and we're stuck in quicksand.

We dodged three bullets with three sub par, far inferior teams and got monkey stomped by another with VaTech. The reason we absolutely need to win out is for recruiting purposes. My guess is that we will give up an average of 450+ yards over the next 3 games, regardless of win/loss. When you don't cause three and outs, you do not give your offense the opportunity to win games. Period. In spite of us playing what amounts to a prevent defense, we only have 2 losses. Thankfully we've had a weak *** schedule and our offense scored when needed.

Very good article. I just don't think this team can win the next 3 games.

Honestly, I don't care about the comparison to this year and 1999 or 2000. So we need to win the next 3 games simply because we need to win the next 3 games.

As for the coaching and personnel changes, we will see what Golden does after the season.
