The avg salary for top 5 or top 10 left tackles in the nfl is a lot more than for top TEs. Careers can last longer there, also.

Sure. Just pointing out that it could be a very good financial decision for him to become an LT. Some were suggesting that’s crazy to consider. I don’t think it matters at this time, but I also think he looks like he could be an unbelievable LT prospect. He can be great at a few positions. His choice.

Last 6-7 250 TE we got was an NFL all pro LT in Eric Winston... will be impossible for Darnell not to put on weight here or anywhere. Kid is 250 now as a advancing junior... he is gonna hit 270 by summer of his freshman year since I think he is EE. So DE or LT not crazy... scary DE if he has the dog in him.

If he wants to play TE, you keep him there. I'm not saying he couldn't be a fantastic LT -- he likely could. But he could also be a beast at TE with excellent hands and speed.

Miami- “That’s TEU (tight end university). Everyone talks about using the tight end but with Miami, you can see it and they’re tradition at the position is really strong. I like Manny Diaz a lot, he’s involved recruiting me and I think I would fit in really well there. Brevin (Jordan) is already there and I always have people hitting me up saying they need another tight end from the 702 (area code). I was there for the Paradise Camp and loved it there.”

Reports have said his frame is maxed out.
 
If the first words out of his mouth in interview about what he looks for in a school is how they use the tight end and offensive scheme, then we should be #1 and a tier above all other schools, but we all know that isn’t going to be the end all be all.

They didnt even use Howard coirrectly. He got drafted high off of measurables.
