Lingard's commitment as long as you keep him puts other recruits on notice, and its happened fast

If he's no better than Duke Johnson that's a win

Can't wait to see if the kids a Duke Johnson in his first game.

Looking of his film, I was thinking he reminded me of Duke before Al fattened him up, but without the stiff arm. Not necessarily style but kid gets going toward the endzone from the first step.

I don't understand why posters get all upset if someone says they don't see Lingard as the next great thing. It's just an observation based on what they see in someone's highlights.

Wasn't cooper a 5 star? Dude was the definition of average. And I'm not saying that Lingard is average just slashing that 5 stars don't mean a guarantee superstar.

You talking Graig Cooper I'm assuming here

Horrible comparison. Linguard is faster than coop ever thought of being.

Not comparing the two running styles...just saying that it's ok to have doubts about a 5 star

He runs nothing or looks anything like duke johnson. Completely different type of running styles imo.

I personally think of Eric ****erson right away when I see Lingard. Not saying he becomes the same caliber, but the running styles are similar

Nice call. That upright running with the explosive burst.

If we break 50 pages on a positive recruitment thread, I'll not only be thrilled, but I'm willing to request that TP801 leave the board for two (2) months, or ad infinitum, whichever is longer.

I don't know what's so difficult for some of you. Lo's ability to see a hole and then react on what he sees is incredible. He doesn't make you miss with momentum slowing herky jerky jukes. He just sees the spot and gets there faster than you. He has Olympic athleticism to match. Balance. Speed. Vision.

What the heck can't you see?

How the **** does the name Gus Edwards enter a thread about a real RB?

It's just the same dudes as always. Get a top 2 RB with superstar potential (and has already produced on a high level as well), and even that gets nitpicked. Wouldn't be surprised to see these same people finding things to complain about if/when we finish with a top 5 class in 2018.

Also would like to add that I think it's extremely annoying when people complain about a guy like Lingard (freak athlete, elite speed) not breaking people's ankles with a bunch of juking and other moves. As you said, he has elite vision and makes people miss by seeing openings and getting there faster than everyone else. I would say the jukes and what not is a much more important trait for WRs; Jeff Thomas is a good example, and Ahmmon puts some good moves on as well.

They just can't see the U winning. They're terrified and it's easier to say "he ain't that good", so that if he leaves(which their vaginas tell them he will), it's more palatable.

Coop had terrible footwork....should of had shady. Lingard is elite

The reason people complain is because they are fsux or gaytor fans posing as Miami fans, or they're just plain stupid, which, in essence, is the same thing.

Lingard is an elite RB. We should be thrilled that he committed and that he is recruiting for us.

criticism of Lingard is crazy. Same dudes would probably say " Scarlett Johansson is not my type because her dimples are too big"

Your mamma doesn't have elite breakaway speed.

Verified HS Track Times.....

Lorenzo Lingard 10.80 100 meter (personal best)
Dalvin Cook 11.18 100 meter (personal best)
Lamar Miller 10.56 100 meter (personal best)
Cam Akers 11.74 100 meter (personal best)
Whoopi McFartland 11.39 100 meter (personal best)
Robert Burns 11.12 100 meter (personal best)
Duke Johnson 10.62 100 meter (personal best)
Travis Homer 11.5 100 meter (personal best)

Suck it.

Who would you prefer?

Have no idea... only running backs I've seen are in Dade and broward county... there's a reason he's the best in the state... but I'm not gonna sit up here and lie to you hat I was wow' d by that tape... I agree that I can't make a good comparison untill I see his senior film... I'm just comparing him to the last 5 star running back we had.... but I like him over any running back I've seen this year live.. but Robert burns sophomore tape was better then lingards junior tape...tell me I'm lying liberty

I like Anthony McFarland's tape better if you ask me. I wonder about Lindgards competition.

Lindgard has great feet, vision and explosion to the hole.

He runs high and doesn't have elite break away speed or size.

I like him as a change of pace back but I don't think he's the workhorse that we need to replace Walton.

Like's McFarland's competition in the DMV compared to Lingard who plays in Central Florida.

Now I know you're trippin.

Good thing football is played in pads against opponents. I saw much more angle beating and break away on Mcfarlands film than lingards but keep up the blind homerism. No one is sayimg Lingard sucks. I just dont think hes as good as hes being hyped.
