4-star RB Byron Louis sets commitment date; names Miami in Top Four

He’s not but he’s a good back. I’ll take Pringle if we are taking one back. Different back as you mentioned, but we have alot of talented backs. He’s more Lyle in terms of style but Lyle is gonna be a star here!

I never knew he had that type Vision and speed . I thought he was just a power back type with decent speed . This jid has a mixture of matinez vision/ power wirh fletchers speed . < home run hitter speed

Next season we would hypothetically have
Fletcher - Junior
Lyle - Soph
Allen - Junior
Johnson - Soph
Wheatley Humphrey RS Fresh (possibly RS?)
Pringle - Fresh

Even if we somehow lose 2 to portal, I have no problem bringing one in thru the portal that is proven rather than going after another HS kid in this recruiting cycle. And Martinez could come back for one more year although that is unlikely. I think he goes to the draft as late rounder.

How good is Humphries ? He must be RS this year .

I don’t see any thing special about him. He’s a very solid RB. I would have been excited to add him, but I think the staff probably doesn’t want attrition from this group. This RB class seems more trait based (Pringle’s explosiveness). The problem with this commitment could potentially lead to FSU establishing a foothold at AH.

I believe I read Louis is a legacy player at FSU anyways - I don’t see one guy affecting us with Heritage. We have 3 rostered players that went there too.
 
As much as I like Louis as a player I love the home run ability Pringle brings while still having Martinez, Fletcher, Allen, Lyle and Johnson right now with a premiere back like Mallory to possibly be added in 26 in the wings and we'll probably take 2 backs in 26 as well
Hate we're going to have to deal with him in the upcoming years but our running back room is mega crowded

Since taking a 2nd back was seen as an unnecessary luxury we probably didn't offer him what he wanted...hence the cringe-inducing "let's get paid" quote on his commitment post.

You talking about Lyle? He’s a stud. Ohio St doesn’t recruit backs who can’t ball. They wanted Lyle and Fletch. I didn’t realize Lyles speed either. I do like Louis. Miami must really wanna focus more on other positions.
