makes sense if they consider UGA Bama OSU. that falls apart when its 8&4, FSU, Louisville. FSU has the opposite of a winning culture. come on dude. these excuses only apply to miami from local kids and will always apply to miami till the end of time. maybe one day you'll all see that the area will never respect the program no matter what. there will always be a handler that pushes them away bc some supposed disrespect. the quicker you'll all realize this the better. stop making local kids a priority. been saying this bc every single season you'll be left caping for them as they **** on the U. in this case, the kids dad is pushing them away and causing issues when there shouldn't be any. it'll never stop.

we need to stop giving theee kids a back up like captain save a hoe. rescind the offer and move on. can't be here saving them for their own decisions

Robby is a game breaking talent. The closer signing day comes, the higher his value goes.

For these type guys it would be wise to keep the hard line stance publicly, but have some flex on the back end. This prevents driving up the price unnecessarily in a bidding war, which is especially bad so far from signing day. Keep the recruiting process going and make a reasonable offer at the end.

For all I know, this is our strategy. I am sure there are contentions for special guys like Robby. Ruiz didn’t make his money undervaluing talent.

Simple solution.

Don't commit and/or sign if you think you'll be worth more in the future.

The risk for the kid is getting injured and ending up at JSU.

I actually like when Ruiz flat out told Wong nah bro you signed your deal. we dont renegotiate. same principle here. you may have agreed to a NIL deal. not getting more now. if you want to go elsewhere so be it but dont come back if and when it doenst work out bc they fired their coach for another ****** year (remember that dude lost to MANNY DIAZ)

ruiz has also shown hes a hard line negotiator. once he hits his number publicly and its agreed to thats it. he did it w Wong. I dont agree w flexing in the back. again, its how kids will continue to treat us like the girl back home if they know they can just get what they want out of us while also playing games publicly.
 
What happens with ****ey, Jean, H. Williams, and T. Williams may hold the key to how we play this situation. If we can flip ****ey & Jean for example I can see us letting the Washington's walk if UL really wants to overpay, but without a couple more major wideouts we'd have no choice but do what's necessary to keep these kids.

Some staffers have called Washington the best football player in south Florida. They won’t be happy if he signs elsewhere.

I can envision Washington being concerned about potential offensive touches with two other great wr commits. Some real football will have been played by the time J.D. will make a decision. If everything goes well the play on the field helps Miami keep commits.

JMO H williams and Jean aren’t coming here. I think those two like but don’t love Miami
