2nd Back

When did we completely forget about Caziah Holmes? He is announcing soon. Kid is a Cane. Family has a Cane Cave (Man Cave that is all Miami). I heard he was a FSU and Penn State lean. Can not see him going FSU with JK heading there now.
Do we let him leave the state without a run at him......

There was another kid some posters mentioned (can’t remember his name exactly, started with M I think). We have to take two backs this year.

Yeah that one I wonder about, why did we stop recruiting him?

I feel like we let up too quick on Caz Holmes, I'm pretty sure Seider will get the commit from him, but I don't get why we don't pursue him harder.

In fact, I always felt we should've went after Parrish or Holmes as the 2nd back in this class & never wasted our time with Knighton.

Knighton was a long-shot, but he's a legit 5-star talent. I have no problems with swinging for the fences with him and Chaney, because nobody in America will sign a better RB class than those two, plus he stated early on that he intended to commit early and not take it the distance, so the staff knew they had time. No issues with this whatsoever.

NOW....he's off the board (yes, I know we'll still recruit him and try to get him to OV, but he's committed elsewhere). Now it's time to turn up the heat on the next kids on your board. Parrish should and will be the main target now. Can they get him to flip from Pitt? I know an A+ recruiting staff would. Let's see what we've got. But ignore anyone saying we shouldn't take a 2nd back. It's complete nonsense. There has to be 2 here, you can't take 1 back in a 2 year window (2019 was only Martin, and he's gone).

I wouldn't be surprised if we keep going after a 2nd RB for this class.

If we have a strong year, we could end up in the running for someone that isn't on the radar at the moment.

Do we go after Parrish or Murphy?

Do we scour the nation and see who is still out there?

Or do we wait until after the senior season to see who blows up?

Or do we say FU FSU and continue to recruit Knighton and get him to flip?

I agree, regardless of they think we need another rb or not, he is a talent we could definitely add and shouldn't let leave to somewhere else. The idea of not recruiting just becuase you think u have enough depths is wrong.

Like everything else, it depends. No inside info here but just a gut feeling, I think the Parrish ship has sailed. He seems slighted. Most quality plan B types are plan A recruits for many schools and the pickings are getting slim. The one thing we can't do is go down to a plan C or D. Jags need not apply.

A lot has to do with the recovery of Lorenzo and development of Burns. If Lorenzo looks like his old self and Burns shows durability, we may just go with one RB and look for a graduate transfer to bridge us until the 2021 class arrives. But in any event, we should still stay in Knighton's ear. Stranger things have happened.

I think Parrish can be flipped if we have a nice season and go up to Pittsburgh and hand them another beatdown. Especially if we can shut down their offense like we did last year.

We have a ton of time and a rb always emerges later. We've already gotten at local rbs but we need all position coaches to focus on regions and see rbs who have it and then you focus on them

Agreed. Just look at Cam’ron Daharrvis, he didn’t get much fanfare coming in, it was all Lo but look how that’s shaping up? Some unheralded 3 star will emerge and want nothing more to pledge his undying fealty to the orange and green...plus when we deliver a 10+ win season we’ll get a bandwager or 2...just chill..

That is interesting I was hyped about him and didn't follow recruiting as much the last few months and then he seemed to be all PAY out of nowhere. I want to get at him badly but idk why we stopped

If we are struggling to fill spots (lol) maybe we take a project back that's high 3 or low 4. I would like Parish just for the legacy aspect. But I agree, RB is like one of my least big concerns right now. Stack your defensive and OL chips instead.

Not signing a second back would be a mistake, especially with Dallas a possibility to leave and Burns injury prone.
