25-26 Transfers

Absolutely.
The State of Florida is not as deprived of talent as some people were lead to believe.
It's quite interesting that the amount of talent in the State of Florida is what made Miami so attractive to Coach Jai Lucas.
I mean, 3 of the Top 15 players in the Class of 2026 are from the State of Florida.
Winning at Miami is definitely not impossible!

Good points.
UF and fsu had some pretty good programs in the 1980s and 1990s, respectively, and most of those squads had many players from Florida.
Similar a few years later with Coach Ham at UM.
Additionally, many players during 1980s like Ricky Blanton, Chris Corchiani, Steve and Douglas Edwards, Mitch Richmond, Steve Blake, Udonis Haslem, etc.

I know Lucas wants defense but I really hope that doesn't mean scrappy undersized guards. We need athleticism and size. The team largely found success because of Omier because that was just a beast that every team had to plan for, the rest of the pieces are more commonly found in the portal but we need a physical enforcer. No more Lynn Kidd types. Doesn't need a jumper, just needs to be able to bang in the paint and bring some energy.

Lucas coached him during his first year at UK. Joel Justus (now at OSU) was his main recruiter. Appears to be reuniting with his former Providence HC at Georgetown.

Elliot Cadeau to hit portal per trilly donovan
Going to be a nice starting pg somewhere. I’d guess Tennessee based on how they recruited him and some of his other HS teammates playing/succeeding there.

Plays on the Swedish national team.
