2025 NFL Pro Day. Monday 3/24

You guys can say whatever you want about X, my man was great at UM. Not good or really good. He was flat out great.

Frankly I’m tried that seemingly half the comments on this thread are about his 40 time, which was admittedly very slow for a WR. But anyone who watched him play knows he’s after than that time. And he’s productive, and was productive before Ward and with Ward.

Ward didn’t make X into a great receiver. They were and are 2 great players who were smart, tough, productive and appreciated playing football together. For all of you who are caught up in his 40 time, are you willing to bet me that he won’t play at least 5 years in the NFL? I’ll put $100 on that today. You can even hold the money (but I will be calculating interest!).

Some seem to forget that X had a 1000 yards receiving the prior year with a QB not named Ward.

What 423Hurricane was trying to say is Restrepo was very productive in 2023 with TVD and Emory throwing him the ball, who aren't "elite QBS with improvisation skills"
I know, but I am wondering who in here was disputing that. The common theme here is you either A) hate player/coach or B) just a mope if you offer anything other than blind praise. Saying that YPC which is a single statiscal category, is greatly impacted by a mobile QB becomes controversial because obviously that is the same as saying he was only good because of. The mental Olympics used to judge fandom here should be studied.

No, YAC would be an indication otherwise. YPC means where the ball was caught. A slower WR has longer to get down field and find openings with a mobile QB. The gotcha attempt missed.
Restrepo had plenty of YAC from underneath routes in which he broke tackles and made guys miss. I'm not sure where you are going with this, but X was good with bad QBS and even better with Ward... which is expected with improved QB play

Restrepo is definitely not fast, so 16.3 ypc should not change that fact. I think 423 was referring more to your first comment about an elite QB with improvisation skills

Yes, and that was in response to "how does a slow WR avg 16.3 Ypc." The year prior with statues under center he was nearly 4 yards less. So again it has nothing to do with attributing all of his success to Ward yet here we are.
