2025 NFL Pro Day. Monday 3/24

That didn't say cost us the game even though it was definitely the nail in the coffin. That said costly meaning it was a very impactful failure. Sometimes you can't defend a player, but I know you will try.

He's not 4th or 5th.... I'm guessing you only watched sr bowl clips maybe.

2-5 were at SR BOWL.....and NOT BEING A HOMER. HE LOOKED BETTER THERE THAN LOVELAND TO.

HE PUT ON A SHOW...LBS, SAFETIES, CORNERS NO ONE COULD COVER HIM+...those other guys Jason Taylor son included were right there....and it got to the point the announcers were saying hes a guy that needs to shut it down nothing else to see.

Just like the getting off the bus looks Arroyo just looks different than those guys...they said it at pro day...and the guys were salivating the same at sr bowl.

The vertical te's...hes above them in route running and catching...Loveland included..But Harbaugh may take him anyway. The Fannin kid i thought would be a competitor ran a slow *** time...Gunnar Helm same sh*t...Brinningstool puhleezeee.
He doesn’t like arroyo. Been pushing the narrative for a while that he won’t go that high in the draft

Interesting mock draft, even though I don’t agree that Damien Martinez will drop that low, nor Elijah Arroyo

1. Cam Ward - Titans - 1st Round
64. Elijah Arroyo- Eagles - 2nd Round
97. Jalen Rivers- Vikings - 3rd Round
139. Xavier Restrepo - Vikings- 5th round
163. Damien Martinez - Panthers- 5th round
197. Tyler Baron - Packers- 6th round
Getting 3 top 100 picks would be great. I don’t think Jalen goes that high or Baron goes that low.

So the people in charge now aren’t the same people that thought Will Levis wasn’t hot garbage? Because whoever made the decision to draft that bum should be demoted to pee wee football
That would be Ran Carthon. The guy that now works for CBS Sports who said it was the longest pro day he’s ever been to

I'd say the only one all around I'd compare him too(especially since both are mediocre blockers)is Orende son. He showed a lot of the same game at Syracuse. He's not the freak athlete that Arroyo is though. Not even close. If he can stay healthy and get better on his blocking good Lord his game should be through the roof.

I think they hired a special consultant that year named Dave gettleman... Him and pop Cooney specialize in over hyping players stock who belong in pee wee fooseball...

Loveland and Warren didn’t attend the Senior Bowl as they’ve been injured

Personally I have Arroyo as the 3rd TE off the board though

I'd say the main difference is without question they are tight ends. Elijah will be playing outside plenty. He's far too versatile not to utilize him outside, in the slot at h back etc

Jarvis Landr comp wouldnt be a bad one. X has more weight than Landry and id say Landry was a more precise route runner but if he can carve out that type of career that would begreat
Problem with the Jarvis comparison is it's not an accurate one in reality. When people use Jarvis time they seem to forget to factor in he was injured. Shouldn't have come anywhere near running. He routinely ran 4.59s & mid 4.6 apparently.
X has always put up slow numbers but he plays a lot faster in pads cause he's shifty. Wish he would've been able to put up some type of 4.6 but is what it is. Definitely cost himself a few hundred. First contract is gonna be back loaded. But he'll be fine long run. Kids a natural football player and GMS know that & will refine his route running to make it more crisp. That's his real concern. Slow and loose in routes equates to cte...

People make a big deal out of the 40 time, and it'll probably cost him a couple of bucks...but folks thinking scouts, GMs, decision makers simply can't ask anyone on staff or from Manny Diaz's staff to ask them if thats a normal time for him, only to be told "nah, he's like a 4.6 guy" isn't on the table.

X isn't even going to be on every draft board. Lots of WRs in this class are niche players that'll have a few teams hyper interested and the rest will be too rich for their blood or not a player for them.

Probably a little slower in reality, but Restrepo comp might be a guy that played for LSU - Josh Reed. RB bodied slot that re-wrote the LSU WR record book at the time. Was a self-admitted 4.6 guy, but ran some fast times during his pro day. Had a decent career in the NFL, albeit underwhelming.

Yet he had no problem taking three quarters of his senior season for granted...

With all due respect to Brown, he wasn't very impactful for three quarters of his senior season (at least not the first few games). Notably, Martinez also got off to a slow start. Really wish they had come in early. And it's a lesson for Beck, Daniels and anyone we grab in the portal this Spring window. We cannot afford a slow start.

How did the slow start affect the team? I have a feeling if they would of played better the first 5 games our record would of been the same. Worry more about the defense and the scheme then Martinez not putting up 200 vs USF

That's what showcasing athleticism typically does.
Mason Taylor was at sr bowl being out played by Elijah Arroyo in pads.

Taylor didnt do bad though he established himself.. But the athleticism was seen there and one looked more athletic than t he other in pads....and the one that did had a hispanic last name.

which is why i said 2-5 at the te spot to the bolded.

I got Arroyo third..really should be 2nd but harbaugh would likely draft his Loveland kid that he knows if need be in the 2nd
