2025 NFL Pro Day. Monday 3/24

Well, I spoke on how Adidas was all Cam Ward until they signed Hunter; then Ward literally became an afterthought which was bull ****, but typical of them. They’ve always been a front running company. They threw a bag & a half to secure Hunter, including giving him his own line once it was determined he was the front runner for the Heisman.

So maybe Ward & the fam was like deuces.
Don’t tell me adidas is fumbling the bag again?!!!
If they don’t have the people in the department that couldn’t make the decision to insure Cam signed and instead allocated the resources to Hunter; then we shouldn’t be associated with stupidity any longer.

You’re either cheap or dumb. But given their track record it’s likely both.
This is a foreign company who is relevant in American sports by sheer luck and market cap.
But perennially pihss poor with strategy and marketing.

They have no idea of the landscape they’re trying to gain market cap on. Choosing a db over the face of a franchise is just stupid. And we better not renew any **** contract when an entire company is that fckng dumb.

How many more instances does adidas have to show that they suck at signing the right player.

The only time Nike fckd up was with Messi. But they still had Ronaldo.

But adidas has fumbled with Ronaldino, R9, Shaq, MJ, Curry, Kobe etc.

How do you let Cam go when he’s at a school with your logo all over it.

This isn’t some 3 star day 3 pick that nobody saw coming.

He isn’t Brady that shocked everyone. Coaches and media and former players have been doubling down on cam since last year. He has 4 years of tape!!! Holy sht!!

X’s agent should have forced him to skip the 40. Sure, the scouts would probably be thinking “****, he skipped the 40 at the combine AND his pro day? Must be slow as ****” but still, there would be no recorded time that would be attached to his name. A bunch of scouts/GMs, even though they think his tape is great, whenever they hear his name are going to have that 4.8 time in the back of their minds, it’s just human nature. It’s just the business of the draft and it happens every single year, but X definitely lost some money today. There will be a few teams who put someone like Sam Brown in one hand and X in the other and look at the testing gap and in a split-second gut decision on draft night, take someone like Brown. And all you need is for that to happen a handful of times and you’ve dropped 2-3 rounds. Hopefully it just means he ends up with a smart organization and he gets a chance at a nice 2nd contract to make up for the drop.

I thought he’d run at worst somewhere in the mid 4.6 range. Also, I was quite surprised when he weighed in at almost 210 lbs at the combine, like someone mentioned earlier, he should have dropped some serious weight for pro day.

And I don’t want this to come off as a bashing of X, he’s an absolutely great Cane and had a fantastic career. It’s just about the business/strategy and politics of the draft.

Adidas is much like every other very large corporation. Just about too big to fail, any vision has long since faded, and filled with waaaay too many nepo babies and think-they-know-all C-level staff and board members who all want to show you you how easy it is to **** into the wind.

On God...

I would've just said he's been rehabbing a sprained ankle or some sh*t.

I still don't get why they let him run the 40, it's not like he didn't know what his average 40 time was. Just fake an injury a 4.8 is gonna hurt you a lot more than the good of catching a few passes without pads.

Great ti see some our great fans bashing one of the best players in UM history.
Here we go with this sh*t...

Nobody is bashing Restrepo.

Running a 4.8 is bad, there's no spinning that, it's just a flat out bad time to run at a Pro day of all places.

That's OL/DL times, not Slot WR's.

It's okay to talk about it & make jokes, I promise you, Restrepo's feelings won't be hurt, he'll be just fine.

And besides, if he got mad & decided to chase one of us, there's at least a 60% we'd get away...
