I don’t think people that aren’t baseball heads actually get how ridiculous what he’s doing is.

It would be like if Tom Brady was also a star linebacker on top of playing quarterback.

Took the time yesterday to figure out how special it is what Ohtani is doing.

On top of the fact that being a baseball player requires a very exclusive skillset physically, he's doing both at a level that can only be considered HoF.

Tom Brady from 2007 onwards and Luke Kuechly combined would be an accurate comparison.

Hunter would have to be playing like PS2 and Josh Gordon in 2013 to come close to that and play like that for seven years to qualify. That's not happening.

Does anyone think Kiko played injured this whole past season? Seemed like he never recovered from the off-season surgery. Was slower with less burst. And, of course, everyone looked lost out there under Guidry's multidimensional-chess-more-brilliant-than-Dorito's defense. Probably magical thinking but I'm wondering if he ends up surprising us.

Mike Mamula was a peach. He's always had the potential and you can't coach size.

Mamula was the first guy to really do combine prep. Gave him a massive edge. Worked with Mike Boyle in Boston and gamed the system. Good for him

Brashard has a ton of value. He’s not a starting NFL running back. But…he’s an elite kick returner. He can play wide receiver. He can take a draw on third and 12 and house it. He’s an explosive athlete who can score in a variety of ways.

I saw the hitting a baseball argument coming… and the arguing of the best player in baseball…

“Hunter will only have to do it 17 times too vs 162”

Hunter getting in a car wreck 20x a game for 17 games vs Ohtani playing DH and pitching 25x a season (when healthy) ain't the same.

That said clearly baseball requires a heck of a lot more skill than WR/CB, but even as only a DH Ohtani didn't play 162 games this year
