I agree, unless Jojo emerges, if JoJo shows he can be WR one, then all we need is a defensive tackle and linebacker. It’s JoJo’s time to show it, everyone says he’s on a different level, this spring he has to put it on full display.

I don’t have faith in Ray Ray either, but I also didn’t have faith in Horton going into last year and I was wrong on that. This is Ray Ray rays time to show it and I hope he does because we need him. If he doesn’t, then the room is wide open for another receiver to take the role. Here’s to hoping he has a Horton type breakout this year.

I don’t know if RRJ gained too much weight but he is not as quick as he was as a true freshman or even HS. He lacks that speed I expected to see. This spring is pivotal for him but my guess is that Mario will go after a stronger slot in the spring portal

The transfer that we brought in weren’t very good either, which was Kiko and Alderman. Unless it’s a for sure upgrade i wouldn’t waste the money

Welll, I had faith in Horton. His stats were small as a sophomore but he made a few plays throughout the year. Ray Ray should have been 2nd behind X and got barely any burn. I believe if a player hasn’t made plays in year 1-2 his chances of being a major contributor r slim, but time will only tell.

We need WRs and it's almost a certainty that we'll add 1 or more. That unit doesn't have numbers and injuries happen.

Was Riley Williams really a loss?? Elijah was definitely a loss, but I feel like the freshman, Schott, or Bauman, can easily step in replace Williams.

Being honest, Mario 1st 2 recruiting classes were terrible at WR. Nobody elite. This class and the class with Jojo were better but there’s a huge 2 year gap of recruiting quality WRs which is why u see holes at that position. Horton, Colbie young, Ray Ray, Robby Washington, and Shemar Kirk. Thats some straight mid. Even if 4 of them didn’t transfer out, they still would have been mid- average at best.

I agree though cautiously optimistic this change in defense can unlock these young LBs. I’ve said it a ton of times but seeing Popo be so lost was eye opening. It’s tough to make a kid that skilled at the position look that bad

BWashs injury sucks too. Been waiting for that kid to put it together.

It's one of those things to me that we gotta trust Hetherman to see what they have in spring & trust his judgment whether we gotta add more to the room or if he's confident we can coach these guys up from the atrocities shown by Guidry + D Nic

Most are unproven and I don't think any of them should have a starting spot locked up. If we can find a LB that's proven, I'd take one.

Right now the 2 starting LBs are Popo and Wes. Both are eh imo.

The youngsters have talent but are unproven.

Hetherman has the chance to mold them.

I do agree with you on getting a proven LB that’s going to make a instant impact. But other than that I like the youngsters

The fact many in this thread are penciling Rodriguez as top 7 OL (first or second backup) speaks to the lack of depth. The dude was a turnstile last time he played, then hurt. Counting on this guy would be short sighted by Mario and Mirabel.

We need a guard McCoy and Rodriguez are light and out of position , i would move Zaquan to star abd move Damari to saftey

did all these cb's come here hoping to start? if so wouldn't be shocked if 1-2 don't portal out in the spring, similar to what Riley did last year
