O'Connor and Lucas will be CB1 and CB2.

And I would say that QB's grade is an A. Top QB in the portal and a top ten pick next years draft and a 5 star true freshman in Nickel. Nickel is a 3 star like Bain was a 4 star in HS. It's just 24/7 being petty against Miami.

No way. We don't have numbers at WR. Injuries happen. I'd lean towards adding two guys, with one being a stud.

Thanks OP. Mario failed to complete his roster this past season and look where it got us....

On paper, team has lots of upside potential but lacks depth and in experience in certain areas. My thoughts on must haves post Spring:
* The OL starting 5 is top level. Behind you have yet to prove it guys. Think we need One more OL.
* DL on paper is solid but lacks experience besides Blay and Moten. Need One more BIG DUDE!
* LB aside from Wes has no other starter, maybe Popo has a couple of starts. Need ONE ILB
* CJ Daniels is the only WR with starting experience. We Need ONE WR
*RB see above WR. Fletcher has the experience and no one else. Need ONE RB, preferably plus 210lbs

We're close here and arguably the best roster Mario has put together on paper. The schedule is also tougher.

Let's win the ACC and get into the playoffs! Has to be the goal in 2025!

Even if 2 of them step up, still need a WR1 and possibly a return man. I have no faith in Ray Ray, but spring will tell us.

I really think that Lofton will be a key to the Offense. His versatility makes him a match up nightmare. I hope they utilize him at RB, HB and Slot TE. He looked great in the spring at RB, have him lining up all over causing confusion and advantageous match ups for us.

Defense was a mess last year, couldn’t stop the run or pass.
Turnovers were few and far between.
We fixed the back half but priority number one is a stud LB.
Second priority is a big body run stuffer.
The young DE’s we have are ready.

I might give the OL a B-. #73 Cooper is below average if you believe his PFF scores. We bring in a Center who is average at best in the run game. Bell is a downgrade from Rivers. Francis M is an A+ stud.

Defense wins championships and hopefully that is where this team shows dramatic improvement.

True but we haven’t proven we can win anything except by overpowering teams. So I want the power differential to be massive. Plus I want to get to and win some playoff games.

Like everyone else is saying — WR1 and LB1 plus RB depth. We NEED this to be playoff caliber. Also be opportunistic if a proven quality TE or DL shows interest in transferring in.

It’s perhaps the youngest Miami team since the 2012 squad. Average CFB experience is just 1.5 years.

with the secondary talent influx, the new DC, and if we get a starting caliber LB, and a top WR in the spring portal then I believe we're a better overall team than we were this year even without Cam, X, Rivers, Martinez, etc.

Agree 100% and while our schedule is harder on paper, you have to also remember we have eight home games and only four away games. That’s a big difference from this past season.

Fitzgerald is playing cb and Wallace isn’t a cb. There is no or with Richard and O’Connor. Richard probably won’t play in 25 and O’Connor is way better. They ain’t paying O’Connor to be on the bench and I think Lucas could end up at safety. Brown might be gone after spring I doubt he sticks around to be a backup

Agree with everything you said except for Lucas, 6’2 200 pounds and ran a 10’4 100m in high school is elite intangibles for a cornerback. I believe Lucas is CB one here. The only cornerback I can see moving into safety is Damari.

I'm more concerned with LB than WR but I admit that's splitting hairs. Both rooms need to add a difference maker.
