I'm late to this party, and this is pretty much meaningless now, but I believe his dad is a Suckeye and was actually a (lower level) pro golfer turned club pro. He lovesss the "free" state of Florida so maybe that influenced David a little during the recruitment.

But....again...meaningless....he gonnnne.
