A little bit of both I suppose.

Pitt’s Guard Jamarius Burton had a great night shooting 64% from the floor finishing with 24pts.

& on the flip side NC ST’s Jack Clark & Jarkel Joiner combined for 0-20 from the floor & 0-14 from the 3pt line between the two of them.

Even Terquavion Smith shot 38% on the night. He & Joiner are their 2 best Guards & neither one could score worth a ****.

It was a good game with a bunch of spurts. Both teams can be really good if they are on.

Maryland has to feel a little disrespected in polls. I would expect them and Miss State to make nice climbs in the rankings.

Jahmir Young & Hakim Hart played great for MD.

At one point they had as much of a 12pt lead, but Illinois fought back valiantly & managed to tie it, but still came up short.

This isn’t some scrub Illinois team either, they beat UCLA & absolutely crushed Syracuse by 29 & had a dogfight with UVA last month. A #16 ranked team with 3 really good players in Terrance Shannon Jr, Dain Dainja & Coleman Hawkins.

The fact MD had control of the game up until the last few minutes speaks volumes to how good they really are.

They play Tennessee next week in what should be one **** of a matchup.

Nah, not a scrub Illini team at all. They gonna be ****. I love Hawkins game. Little wild but he is a freak man. Both very solid teams.
