I, along with many here have been saying this for months now!

So let's say you have this really cute under the radar type chick with a nice body that you know wants to get with you but you continue to blow her off because you have your mind set on an internationally known super model who barely knows you exist. The super model finally tells you to get lost after stringing you along for a few weeks so you turn your attention back to the cute one who was interested. She also tells you to fack off because you took too long to acknowledge her and she doesn't want to be your consolation prize. You end up with neither and have to settle for humping your own fist and you have no one to blame but yourself. Same situation here...... Well....sort of...

Regardless of what total verbal commits are. This class as usual is lacking in CB,OL and linebackers.

Cave is a Miami quality LB. Mathis wait and see, prob a Mike Smith type back up. Flagg could have 300 tackles a season in HS. He still only has group of 5 level athleticism

Flagg uploaded new highlights yesterday. He looks like a functional athlete at least as an early down backer. As long as he doesn't lose athleticism in college like Shaq he will be fine.
 
My uneducated prediction-

QB-Van Dyke (love his upside)
Rb-Chaney (stud)
TE-Mammarelli (solid TE)
WR-Fleming, Redding, Restrepo, and Emilien (great wr class).
OL-Rivers, Washington, Moise (yes, he'll be a guard). ( These three are a good group but need 1-2 more)

DT-Roberts (signed three last year and he's a great one)
DE-Height, Quinnen, Chantz (love this DE class)

lb-Mathis, Flagg, Austin-Cave (Austin-Cave starter material. Other 2 are backups)

cb-Branch, Clarke (love these 2 more than most)
S-Balom, Francois (Francois is a headcase but he can play. Balom can play).

S/Striker-Jalen Harrell, K. Washington (both these guys can be either Safety or striker. IMHO I think K Washington to striker first and J H our third safety. Had Restrepo as a possibility as S as well).

Drop Riggins and Smith. Finish with 23 guys and get 2-3 more portal guys later.

-Offense, really like the overall offense but needed 1-2 more OL. B+ but would be an A- or higher with 1-2 more OL.
-Defense, I love DL and think secondary is underrated by disappointed with LB outside of Austin Cave (but one of the 2 guys as a striker makes it a little better). Given that need, defense gets a B.
 
Man if the hottest chick in the club wanted to holla at you are you gonna say Nah I’m good , and tell her to go holla at another dude. The number five prospect in the nation puts us in his top four and wants to visit are we supposed to tell him no. I think there is something going on with Hypolite behind the scenes and he ends up in this class whether we get Flowe or not. But Flowe does seem interested so we gotta give it a chance to play out. As much love as I got for Stefan he has been wrong before. Go Canes!!!!!
 
First off, I find it funny that the “Flowe” guys are being called gullible fools but what does that make the “Hyppolite” crew now? Just as gullible and just as foolish. Hypolite doesn’t even want to OV! Lol. Using the ole “Ive seen them enough since im local” BS excuse. Smh. So let’s all move on from both and stick with the guys we have and pray that Huff/Brooks don’t bust.

I don’t want Davonte Brown. Go all in on the JUCO kid(s). And wrap it up. Rumph will take care of the rest development wise.

This is about how we should be closing seeing that the bottom was about to completely fall out of this program 4 weeks ago after the GT loss. A top 15-20 class would be a stop-gap. We need to hit a homerun next year. Diaz hasn’t had a top 10 class yet and he needs to fix that or I’m going to start believing the posters who say he sucks at recruiting.

Good overall post but this sentence sticks out like a sore thumb. YOU DON'T RECRUIT BACKUPS!!! You only recruit kids who you think are starters, because some of them will inevitably not be as good as you thought and end up as back ups if they don't leave.

also as far as Daz over emilien, Daz has a history of injury problems doesnt he?

IDGAF TBH. No contest talent-wise.


I'm exaggerating to make a point of course. Worshaw is no consolidation prize and looks like a future pro. But if your choice is a really good wr from Bammer and an even better stud from AH who has performed against top notch talent (Trinity).....well, that's not a choice.

Sometimes I forget that guy is even on our coaching staff. If Manny wanted to get rid of him in the offseason, I wouldn't have a problem with that. His TE development skills don't even seem all that. Mallory regressed and Brevin is basically already a finished product. Probably has had little to no impact on him whatsoever.

To your point, he was brought here to recruit and isn't even good at that thus far.

Mallory regressed..really..what did he do last year? Nothing..he redshirted..kid was open multiple times early in the year & he dropped sure TD’s & two point conversion...
