2020 DB Edric Whitley offered

I love his film. He has great ball instincts and he is a big hitter for his size. Not to mention he is rocket fast with 4.3 speed, so I don't know what exactly is not to like about him. He is playing at a major high school in Texas, so his competition should not be that bad. I like the offer, don't really care how many stars the recruiting sights gave him.

Facts!!

Honestly what's not to like about him other then his offers. He clearly shows great instincts by jumping routes. Hes so good in coverage hes able to drop down and make plays even when its not his guy. Also like that he looks very natural in the return game and we have been in desperate need for a player to take the reins in that dept. If you didn't know his name and just strictly looked at his film there's not much to dislike then maybe size. With that said he brings it and isn't scared to put his nose in there.

I'm sorry, say whatever you want to say but I refuse to believe this is a legit offer, lol. This is what we have to resort to because of our CB situation ....

I really don’t know how Rumph/Banda/Baker isn’t fires for how bad the CB room is. Someone has to be held accountable

The staff knows what they are doing. This is the 2020 version of Zion Nelson. Diamond in the rough. Day 1 starter as our island corner. He has a great work ethic.

Saw Taylor play hoops about 2 weeks ago and he is 5'10 maybe 5'11 .. Just doesn't have the frame and length unfortunately.

You are the first person to say this...Everyone else saying 5'7, 5-8 tops

I like his football tape better than the little hoops I saw for what it's worth. Hope the kid lands somewhere he loves. RIP ST

11.04 is definitely not a 4.7, the kid definitely runs in the 4.4 range at worst 4.5; you can see it on tape. His tape does not show a 4.7 forty.
If you look at the rest of his times along with everybody else in that event.... you'll see 11.04 doesn't line up with other recent times....11.5 -11.6 is a more consistent range ..what stands out on film is his short area quickness....I can see him running a 4.7 with a 4.1/ 4.2 shuttle....kids film looks pretty good ....plays in a tough league but was it against 1st, 2nd or 3rd string? Some of those long runs look like mop up duty in the 4th lol... That's why it's important to watch entire games against quality competition or evaluate in person....

So who are the last 2 or 3 guys they want to sign?

If I had to guess, and I'm saying BY MAY, not just by Jan. And this is assuming we are signing Moise, but I think it's getting eerily quiet there. But for now I'm considering him in.

For sure:
OL: Portal
OL: Portal/HS/Juco

And 0-2 of:
DB/ATH: Britt/Morton/Colson/Williams
Portal DB: Dotson/whoever
Portal WR: Hazleton/Corbin
Portal RB: (I'd say slim chance here)

I'd expect another walk-on (Ragone/Alford) to get a scholly too, but has nothing to do with the number we bring in.

Well now that they got Dunson pretty sure that last CB spot is gonna go to the Colson kid from Georgia. That kid appears to have shut down his recruitment once he set up his visit. Would be pretty dirty to dip on him but it could happen.

Ehhh unless they skip the spot altogether and we see a Colson interview soon saying he isn't visiting as well. It may have been for 1 spot...I hope it's 2, but not sure right now.
