I'd like to think Steele didn't give the reporter the whole quote and Banda meant, we don't leave Florida for dbs, don't need to...But we like you because you're a stud and worth it.

This “occasional” contact by Rumph is lazy and unacceptable. I know for a fact Hartley is contacting his targets multiple times A DAY!! Whether it be a text, tweet, IM or phone call. I assume Dr. Donk is doing the same thing. That’s why they’re 2 of the best recruiters in the nation. Right or wrong, that’s what these kids expect.

Matt Elam is uncle. Matt Elam went to UF solely because of Urb. Urban Meyer recruited this kids dad. I'd say Ohio State has a better shot than anyone. Also still laughing...Rumph is recruiting him.

the two db coaches are rookies. Been around the recruiting game longer than them. Probably the reason they strike out so **** much...and cant pull anything other than guaranteed lay ups to Miami

It means that the staff must really want him and think very highly of him if he can outshine all of the local talent. Steele is right, Banda doesn't need to recruit out of state, so it is pretty flattering that he continues to go after a kid from california anyway. Banda is not as stupid as you think broke.

Yea its one of those jokes that are funny because its true. Sorry I have 0 confidence in Rumph. He has struckout too much with AH kids. I dont know how people defend him or give him a pass. He is a decent coach but a horrible recruiter. The only reason we got Ivey and Frierson was because Ivey was horribly underrated n Frierson is Gore's cuz. Rumph needs to step up or move on his ineptitude is bothersome.

There’s a fine line showing love and being annoying.

It could be a quick text msg checking in on how school is going, or making a note of something the coaches noticed while watching their highlights. Let the kids know they have real interest in them as a player and person.

But checking in every now and then or occasionally shows ur not really that interested.
