There are much worse. There are some kids I would say are must gets but it is overplayed on these boards. The phrase I hate the most is "kids who want to be Canes". Biggest load of loser BS I have ever heard.

Unless a recruit comes with a guarantee that he will solely be responsible for a national championship, "must get" is an arbitrary term. Especially when it is thrown around as often as it is.

It works both ways.

The same way that you refusing to acknowledge a player as a must get-doesn't make them any less of a must get; someone calling a player a must get-doesn't make them a must get.

Looks like we are gonna have to agree to disagree then. But if we miss out on Clark, Valentine (which we probably will. He aint coming here.), and only sign Moten. I am gonna come back to this thread and ask you was a top 5 DT in the country from our OWN BACKYARD when we desperately needed DTs still not considered a must get? And I will show you proof of how our DT depth will be as bad as it was back in 97' when a true freshmen (Damione Lewis) was manning down the middle for us.

I understand the sentiment that no kid is a must get, but after whiffing on our main 13835 DT targets the last few years. Clark is about to closet thing to one

Tired of not getting big time recruits at DT. Need 2-3 this year

Its an odd phrase for sure. If we are talking about guys we have no business losing, and you want to call that a "must get" then Sony is about the only one I can think of over the last few years.

Not a talent or position reason (though he fills those needs too) but because the kid was born to be a Cane.

Too much talent down here for someone to be called a "must get" based on their potential impact.
 
Clark and Moten are straight beasts. Moten was the best DL on his line and that includes Bosa.

We need both of them the real question is if our staff is capable of landing a legit DT prospect.

Too much talent at positions like RB, WR, CB, LB and safety. DT; not so much. After Bryant and Bostwick, who in SoFla last year were big potential-impact guys?

Big potential-impact are different things than "must-get" to me. I don't feel like debating semantics though.

Of course Clark is at the top of our list and should be. I do want to see him get in better shape and ball out his senior year though.
