Less than 5 Defensive players from that class remain...yikes

beating a horse Rok...some of us know we are in deep do do do for a few years...pucker up ..when its rebuilt and should be for a while

Not a lot of people are acting like they're aware of how bad this class was. If this class was half as good as it should've been we would be seeing better results.

09-11 are not far behind and yes I know 11 is Goldens but he's trending favorably from 12-present

Morris is your ONLY qb in that class...let that sink in.

Not a knock on Morris but at least Golden understands that we you bring in project QBs at least bring in 2-3 to push each other.

1 RB taken in Clements

The best WR in the class is Hurns (who was coming off a serious injury) now he turned out to be a very good player. but your class isn't good when Hurns is your best WR prospect.

So the 09,10,11 classes were all weak (thanks randy) and we all act surprised that the team kinda stinks since Duke J went down.

Lol at the 11 class being goldens. Its a shame in 2 months he put together a better class then Shannon did the past 2 yrs with full yrs

Shannon fans were saying what a great class this was back then

Nah, there was some excuse making, but I think most people realized then that it was a very underwhelming class. TO his credit, and despite the fact that I have given the guy a lot of sh*t over the years, even Bakas was really down on that class and pointed out how many JAGs we had coming in back then.

Golden had one month to recruit the 2011 class because of the dead period. That was not on him.

The 11 class was on Golden.

Dude seriously? I get the schtick, you are in a race with IN/F*cktard to see who can be more extreme in trashing Golden, but at least try to be accurate on the things you are going to slam the guy on.

There is NO WAY you can blame Golden for 11. They guy took over at the 11th hour, and we had like 3 or 4 player committed. Think about that. If Golden got canned after next week, the next coach would have a SLEW of players committed to work with. NOW. Of course there are going to be guys who bail out in a situation like that, but there was literally NOTHING to work with when Golden came in. They were in a full scramble to get ANY bodies in here. That class, and its subsequent failure, is on Shannon. He did NOTHING recruiting wise at the end, and left the program in shambles.

It is the 2010 and 11 class that has put us in the sh*t hole we are in right now. People dont realize just how BAD those classes were. The OP is dead on. People think we have all this much better talent then teams like VT and Duke. The 2010 and 11 classes were two of the worst classes in modern UM history, and whats WORSE, is that much of the talent FROM those teams, like Storm Johnson and Eddie Johnson left the program. So what we were left with is most of the JAGs from two very weak classes.

Our upperclassmen are among the least talented to play at UM since the 70s. and that is why I have said, and will continue to say, that our problems, especially on defense, go much deeper than just Donofrio. The talent level, and depth, among upperclassmen, is attrocious. Once those classes work their way out of the system, this is going to look like a TOTALLY different team.

That's not to say Golden is definitely going to win an MNC here, or that Donofrio is suddenly going to become a great DC, but if we did NOTHING at all, I would bet serious money, that 2 years from now, this team is going to be SIGNIFICANTLY better, on both sides of the ball.

So between the 2010 and 2011 classes we have 27 of 49 recruits still on the team. 55%.

The 11 class was on Golden.

It was like going shopping for Christmas 1 hour before the stores close on Christmas eve. The good **** is long gone.

That's like blaming Stoutland for our performance in the Sun Bowl.

My bad, it was a mistake, I meant the 2012 class, didn't mean 2011. My bad

Randy had NOTHING going into the 2011 recruiting season, and Golden had 2 months to save it.
