2 quarterbacks we go after in portal

Top 2

Kaidon Salter from liberty and Byrum Brown, South Florida. I believe both redshirt freshman.

Dawson should be able to work with one of these guys top help us succeed.

Both great pocket awareness. Both can run and pass on the run.
We need like 5 transfer portal qbs šŸ˜‚

But Iā€™ll take anyone who can be a DT and get it out. I donā€™t even care about arm strength just bring me an accurate qb that can move.

Our fans suck donkey ****.
it's like they can't wait for the "oh we suck, nobody likes us" opportunities to pop up..... regardless how this season ends, Portal era can change your team in one off season... as said above... Top OL, Good WR's with FR talent coming in, and a stable of good RB's.. ohhh and living in Miami with a sweet NIL..

Iā€™d take Brown over Pratt in a heartbeat. Not even a second thought.
As far as what's on tape for both in regards to throwing the ball, Pratt is the better QB. He has exactly what TVD is lacking right now, confidence at the trigger point. JB is much more the elite runner. The staff says JB has greatly improved his passing but we haven't really seen it. I say bring in Pratt and let competition be the one that determines the outcome.

We signed the top portal QB in America 3 years ago with no NIL, horrific OL and fresh off the Dan Enos disaster.

Lane did it right when he took 3 and let them battle it out.

@Hegemon disagrees with this analysis

Have only seen Brown once play this yearā€¦And 1-2 games last year = HARD NO. Numbers aren't bad this year, but he's more run first. He is young, I just don't see big time QB ability.

Salter should be top 7-8 or choicesā€¦I can't say definite yes, but he has a big armā€¦Their schedule is just so ridiculously bad. Even by CUSA standards it's been badā€¦Out of conference was abysmal, and it wasn't him that pulled off the Ark upset last year. There are things to like here, but honestly I remember pocket presence not being good last year. Again, the arm is there, but overall package is iffy imo.

Also has he graduated? He transferred once.

Pratt me, as of now.

Sorry, should have clarified. Not Jacurri, I meant Byrum Brown like OP mentioned. South Florida QB.

My fault Salter already transfered. Brown improved big time from last year.

Huge difference. He still needs work but way better than what we have and coming in. Mind you usf oline is not good.

Agreed very very underrated. On pace for 4K & 30+ TDs.

3 years of eligibility remaining after this year. My only issue is how much pace he plays with. His internal clock probably moves 3/4 times as fast as Dawson/Mario would like. Slow it down sir

If Cameron Ward doesn't enter the draft he should be a graduate transfer 5th year senior because of the covid year. I would try to get him and Pratt hoping to land one.

Besides Pratt, Who should Miami be going after that is realistically going to portal?

This isnā€™t the European Soccer transfer market
Uhh, with NIL and the tampering that everyone seems to do in the background. Itā€™s certainly close.

Ahh gotcha. I went and watched some tape. Kid looks good. I'd rather Pratt but if we get Brown and he comes in and does well I'm obviously not going to be opposed to it.

Watching the highlights from the USF/Tulsa game, it's crazy some of the plays that these teams run, even group of 5, and we can't seem to be able to get leadership to run these concepts. I have a baseball background and professionally in healthcare and I can't fathom how someone that devotes their life to this (HC/OC/DC) doesn't take a look around at, quite literally, your competition and see what the most successful offenses look like and try to run similar things. This is not a novel concept, even in the workforce. See what your competitors are doing and do it better.

Need Mario to be aggressive with QB like he is with OL. We need two QBs in the portal, should have got 2 last spring f*** feelings.
