# 12 recruiting class

Randy Shannon had the #1 recruiting class after we had gone 5-7 the previous year, and 7-6 the year before that.

Teams ahead of us like Texas and Tennessee didn’t have good years either. Heck, Tennessee has been bad since about Fulmer’s last 5 years, and Texas has been bad since 2009, except for their Sugar Bowl win.

I can’t believe people are seriously praising this class.

Pretty good considering this horrendous season.
Stellar recruiting class considering the season. My goal for a good class based on this past season was 15. At 12, I think they’ve exceeded what we could reasonably expect.

I’m anxiously awaiting to see how this all translates on the field. Hopefully the off-season moves show good results.

Ok ill play your silly little troll game since you just joined this site and feel compelled to say the #12 class in the country after going 6-7 with losses to Ga tech, FIU, Duke, La Tech isnt worth praising.

So lets talk about the 11 teams ranked ahead of our # 12 class...

1. Georgia- played in SEC title game and won 12 games. Finished ranked 4th in the country

2. Alabama- finished ranked 8th with 11 wins. One of their worst seasons in 10 years.

3. Clemson- 14 wins finished ranked 2nd. Won ACC again and lost in title game to LSU

4. LSU- perfect season national champs, won SEC, hesiman trophy winner...ranked #1

5. Ohio state- won Big 10, made CFB playoffs, won 13 games. Finished ranked 3rd in country

6. Texas A&M- finished outside top 25. Won 8 games including bowl game.

7. Auburn- finished ranked 14th. 9 win season in SEC west. Beat Alabama with true fresh quarterback

8. Florida- finished ranked 6th. 11 win season. Won 2nd straight NYD bowl game.

9. Texas- finished ranked 25th. 8 win season but won bowl game. Underachieved after last year win vs UGA.

10. Tennessee- finished unranked. Won 8 games including bowl game.

11. Oklahoma- finished ranked 7th. Won 12 games and played in CFB playoff again. Won Big 12 again

12. Oregon- finished ranked 5th. Won Pac 12 and won the rose bowl. 12 wins.

So aside from Texas A&M and Texas who both sit in fertile recruting grounds and had not great but winning seasons including bowl games and Tennessee who had a winning season and a bowl win with a 2nd year coach at the helm i would say our class is pretty **** good considering how we finished and when you look at what those other teams above us did

So to recap: 8 teams finish in top 10
4 conference champions
Every team with 8 plus wins... we had 6

#12 class in the country.

A top 5 ESTABLISHED quarterback

A smart, young, innovative coordinator to groom him in a SPREAD offense

An NFL ready defensive end

A Groza semi-finalist kicker

After a 6 win season. Yeah.....that's literally better than you can possibly expect.
If you consider King and Roche as high 4 stars it's, what, #8 or #7?
