10-4

We've now completed 10 full seasons in the ACC.

Haven't played for the title ONCE.

/not sure what year we started having an actual title game

LOL at even the remote thought of winning 10 games. Our defense is absolutely atrocious. We play like 9 bowl teams. Oh, we'll put up points, I think, but I know for a fact we can give up 500 and 40 to any team with a pulse. ****ing Logan Thomas, ****ing Logan Thomas had 2, count them TWO cot dam Heisman performances against us. And you guys are talking 10 wins? My *** 10 wins.

That's the point. What is the MINIMUM win total we would find acceptable to justify a 5th year? Can anyone say anything less than 9 is okay in the 4th year of his term? Especially with his highly touted classes.

And what I am saying is that LOL at anyone who thinks 10 win minimum or whatever gets ole Al fired. He's signed till 2020 or something. He can coast to 7 wins, talk about the cloud and in the Admin's eyes, he is probably in year 1 or 2 of the reclamation project. We are stuck with him unless he sees another opportunity or next season is an unmitigated disaster, like 2 wins or something. Two wins is much more likely than 10 by the way.

I hear you on the admin clearly having far lower standards than us. But Shannon had signed a significant extension and got bought out. Why? Moving backward in win column is unacceptable(in 4th year and after). Coker's win totals moved south, fired. I agree that buyout is always a problem. And it does make admin less likely to let HC go, but the program's precedent is to fire tenured coaches moving backwards in win column.

This is EXACTLY why the 2020 extension reward for a 6 win year was the dumbest admin move in 10 years.

Shannon got his contract for recruiting purposes so he wouldn't go into it on the last year of his deal. Al got his because we legit thought he might bolt. I wouldn't be suprised if he got himself a nice hefty buyout. I think you are also really downplaying how the admin looks at the "cloud" I don't think prior precident will have anything to do with him. We need to pray PSU comes back after him with 4 million reasons to leave.

Two losses against fsu won't help him much. We need to beat them once, we have the talent.

Not to mention we need to win the bowl game unless it's a bcs game in which it better be close

10 wins, win the coastal, win a postseason game, either ACCCG or bowl game. It's year 4. Any regression and he should be fired.

We know nothing about the buyout. I wouldn't assume its x years remaining times Y $ per year. No way they signed some large *** buyout.

Looking at that schedule. I could generously see 6-6. Does that get him canned?

I see losses against:
Nebraska, Duke, FSU, UNC, VT, and Lousiville. Cincy isn't a gimme but I counted it as a win.

Gtfo. Miami will not go 6-6. Idk why people think Nebraska is really good. Louisville loses their head coach and their NFL qb, Duke will stumble, VT loses their qb and some important seniors

We will lose two maybe three games next year but all dependent upon Williams qb play

Nebraska doesn't have to be "really good" for us to lose when Golden's record against 8+ win teams is 1-12

If what the OP says actually happens that would make Golden 0-5 against FSU. Can't even think of a coach here who went 0-5 against FSU yet people still want this bum here for the long haul.

Dude is trying to match Chris Rix

6-6 or worse Golden is fired. 7-5 through 9-3 without wining the coastal, no change in his contract. 9-3 while winning the coastal or better, he gets an extension .

This is my take as well.

If 9 wins can win the Coastal then Im cool with that. But the 10th win needs to come in the ACCCG or bowl game.

Nebraska was average at best, but they were coached and prepared for their bowl game. I'm surfe Pelini can figure out our defense with a year to prepare, LOL. They destroy us.

how about we utilize DUKE like Auburn utilizes Tre Mason. start letting our athletes play AL. we returned 10 of 11 starters on offense and went backwards. pathetic.
