10-4

LOL at even the remote thought of winning 10 games. Our defense is absolutely atrocious. We play like 9 bowl teams. Oh, we'll put up points, I think, but I know for a fact we can give up 500 and 40 to any team with a pulse. ****ing Logan Thomas, ****ing Logan Thomas had 2, count them TWO cot dam Heisman performances against us. And you guys are talking 10 wins? My *** 10 wins.

That's the point. What is the MINIMUM win total we would find acceptable to justify a 5th year? Can anyone say anything less than 9 is okay in the 4th year of his term? Especially with his highly touted classes.

Can't believe people think he could actually get canned for anything short of missing a bowl. He will get a contract extension and raise if he wins 10 games. This admin has bought into the cloud and Als unfair circumstances. I believe in their eyes this was year 1.

Personally, I think 10 the only way he gets a 5th year. 9 would make it very rocky. Interesting to see what the base thinks he NEEDS to keep his job.

6-6 will result in a raise and an extension for Alshermond as long as we don't have any fights on the field or kids getting arrested.

He got a freaking raise after going 6-6! He has been allowed to retain Dorito after 2 years of WOAT defense. The admin was praying he wouldn't go to Penn St. Corch Als seat isnt even luke warm yet.

I hope everyone realizes that next season would have to be a total train wreck for Al to get fired. He's signed through 2020. There's no way the U ponies up the $ to buy him out.

Anyone who says less than 10 clearly has an agenda. 9 wins wouldn't fit with the "improvement" narrative

A 10 win season next year is the minimum for me. Though our schedule will be tougher than this year and we will have a new qb, so I am not optimistic.

You think they will retain him if he wins 7 or 8? Just can't see it. Look at precedent. A coach moving backwards in win totals gets fired after at least 4 seasons. See Coker, Shannon.

Probably would be gone with 7 wins. Just sucks that we would have to pay his buyout and then settle for another mediocre coach as a result.

And what I am saying is that LOL at anyone who thinks 10 win minimum or whatever gets ole Al fired. He's signed till 2020 or something. He can coast to 7 wins, talk about the cloud and in the Admin's eyes, he is probably in year 1 or 2 of the reclamation project. We are stuck with him unless he sees another opportunity or next season is an unmitigated disaster, like 2 wins or something. Two wins is much more likely than 10 by the way.

Stop dreaming. We will be somewhere around 4-3 facing FSU and they will dismantle us in sunlife and end this atrocity once and for all. Some dude comes in here and wins the ACC or play for the title the year after.

I hear you on the admin clearly having far lower standards than us. But Shannon had signed a significant extension and got bought out. Why? Moving backward in win column is unacceptable(in 4th year and after). Coker's win totals moved south, fired. I agree that buyout is always a problem. And it does make admin less likely to let HC go, but the program's precedent is to fire tenured coaches moving backwards in win column.

This is EXACTLY why the 2020 extension reward for a 6 win year was the dumbest admin move in 10 years.
