Thursday night primetime game, overhype after starting 4-1 or 5-0. UNC always has games were they look like world beaters and i think we will have a letdown that week..

Yes, of any game on the sked, beating FSU is the top priority.

It will be an uphill battle though..especially up there. I think Miami's talent level on offense has finally surpassed the Noles, but FSU still has a massive edge in defensive talent. The gap there dwarfs the difference between the clubs on offense, unfortunately.

Goal is always MNC. Hopefully we're almost back to where that's not wildly unreasonable.

Agree. Background planning by the staff for certain opponents down the road is proper, and expected, as it is part of their job. But players are just kids/young adults. If fans are looking ahead to certain opponents, I always fear that some players are too. When it's time to play the schedule, the most important game is the one in front of you. It's always surprising that almost everyone would agree with that, and then completely ignore it. I don't want to somehow get upset by FAU to realize how important it was.

Werner, Carradine, Xavier Rhodes were the main guys they are gone..

Going by there recruiting previous seasons these guys shirted some beast prospects like Goldman etc, there in the same position as UFag where they can just load up the next group dont sleep on that dline they might be better this season..

Agree the most important games are ufag n fsu and I cant see us beating them with offense because them boys have alot more talent on D then us and thats what wins big games not offense. If we had a great DL we would go toe to toe but right now from what I saw last year we dont. Hope they turn it around because we have to beat uf and fsu for recruiting purposes because ufag boutta clean up down here.

Leadership is the key. I believe it's in place now. AG is NOT going to have these guys looking ahead; neither is his staff. He's process orientated. If the guys are effin up in practice, he'll break them off like the 1988 Bill Parcells.

Its not even close. I'm hopeful that some guys will develop into playmakers on D for us this year, Chick, Bush, Porter, Pierre and others. But it is just pre-season hope at this point.

Playmaking ability has been non-existent. Aside from Denzel's pick-six in Boston and Cain's ufmble return against Bethune I can't think of another defensive touchdown scored in the last two years.
 
29 rushing yards.....I don't wanna hear **** about this O-line or how great Duke is. Prove it when it counts. FSU ain't that fckg good on defense. Ever! Fck all this talk. Show the fck up against real defenses. When we can consistently rush for 3/4 yards anytime we get good and GD ready, then we have an offense boys. Until then? Smoke and mirrors.

how do you say they don't have a real defense? we have a great offense and they shut them down. and they've reloaded with #1 overall plyaers like Edwards, Darby, Jernigan and Goldman.

they've got talent. no need to discredit them. but we've got a great offense! we're going just going to overpower them this year!!!

When we have beaten FSU in the past, we have run the ball well. We need for that to happen this year in order to finally beat them Noles.

2009 - Cooper had a great game
2007 - Cooper had another great game
2004 - Gore did well in a low scoring affair
2003 - Payton ran very well, surprisingly well in that rain soaked game
2002 - Willis was awesome all year
2001 - Portis had a great game
2000 - Najeh/Jackson had great games
