Miami has its QB of the future. 2026 blue-chip QB Dereon Coleman of Jones High School (Orlando) announced that he will be a Cane.
The 6’1, 165 gunslinger is no stranger to competition, as he beat out Elite 11 senior QB Trever Jackson as a sophomore and outshining multiple highly-regarded quarterbacks at Miami’s recent camp.
Coleman completed 63% of his passes for 2,236 yards, 16 TDs and 6 INTs as a sophomore. He also added 4 TDs on the ground.
He is Miami’s third commitment of the ‘26 class, joining WR Malachi Toney and LB Jordan Campbell.
