TrumpyCane will get killed for this but Sam Brown>Horton

Horton is ok, Brown actually has explosion but has a few bad moments but you saw plaus where brown took top off defense

Horton is a nice little possession receiver

Rivers
Daniels
Brown

That’s a solid WR core then need 1 or better yet 2 of the young guys to step up
Brown is good and has a ton of potential, but he needs to get his head out of his *** and there were very few signs this season that he is capable of doing that.

1. Let’s relax. Brown isn’t better than Horton. More explosive and faster yes but he isn’t the better football player.
2.) Brown more than likely isn’t coming back here anyway so it’s moot.

It's not "according to me". It's a widely known thing to anyone who has kids that play competitive sports.
or just regular students for that matter. Pretty common for all students to be referred to that way from what I have experienced with my kids schools.

I just don't understand (I guess I do) the reaction to losing a good player to the portal. I find it very hypothetical. When starting players from national championship teams are jumping in the portal you realize you have very little control on who leaves and who stays.

It sucks losing players, especially this season watching our former players excelling at SMU (although
we did OK too).
But this new era of player movement and payment under the NIL era is what our fans wanted, no?
One has to be naive to assume the movement of good players was going to be exclusively to UM.
Anyways, as you noted, it's happening at all schools, and the more one recruits, the more talent they will lose.
Lol.

Lmaooooo. Really? So every freshmen according you is a rising sophomore. So again, if that is EVERYONE, what is special about our guys?

For some odd reason, I thought "RISING SOPHOMORE" was a title given to freshmen who had successful freshmen campaigns and have now raised there status going into there sophomore seasons. Guess I was wrong.
JFC a "rising sophomore"

is a term used for EVERY Freshman graduating across the ENTIRE COUNTRY in college who is going into their second year in college or high school!

Nah, someone like Mesidor leaving would be a bigger loss.

Both would be a big loss…I don't expect Mesidor back but would obviously welcome it. Horton is better than C.Young, and although I'm a Mesidor fan, I think at this time Horton is a little bigger loss.

Not the end of the world. He’s not good enough to be WR1 on a real contender. Great complimentary (WR2 or WR3) piece, but not somebody you overpay for.

Nearly everything you wrote is either dumb or mopey.

horrible finish to the season (agreed)

hasn't fired inept DC (only teams that didn't make bowl games fired coaches so far ... its early)

mediocre recruiting class (the average player rating was the same as last year. the only difference is signing 22 vs signing 25+)

losing our best returning WR (who was 4th on the team in receiving and didn't do **** in any of the last three games other than drop the game winning TD against Syracuse. I'd rather have him stay but he's not even a WR1).

and missing out on portal top talent (LOL - its basically just started. What teams have signed top portal talent so far?)

Glad we gave this guy $80m (YOU didn't give ****)
Why do you have to ruin his mope post? He doesn't care about that stuff. LOL

Maybe take the time to actually read the way he utilized "rising sophomores."

And we are talking athletics here, no ******* person is using "rising sophomore" to indicate they are simply going into there 2nd year with no context.

We are a better team with them both returning. Not just talent, but locker room.

Horton has the tools to have been our best and I don't think Cam was playing favorites. So not sure...

I do know I I like the young guys and I dont think we need to pay for two WR1s.
