I’m going to keep this one short and sweet. As I discussed on the podcast a few days ago, Miami was poised for a run of commitments. It’s now begun with OT Demetrius Campbell, OT Jaden Wilkerson and S Amari Wallace.

I expect that run to continue over the next few weeks until Miami has the foundation of its class in place. The Canes will then continue to chase big fish and leverage its expected success on the field.

Here are some names to watch. There may be other names that jump on this list (especially after this weekend), and not everyone on this list is a lock. But I think the Canes are well-positioned with the following names:

DT Derry Norris
CB Chris Ewald
WR Josh Moore
LB Gavin Nix
DT Walter Mathis
LB Ezekiel Marcelin
WR Tyler Williams
WR Daylyn Upshaw

There are numerous priority recruits that Miami will continue to recruit no matter who is in the boat. Some of those names are WR Vernell Brown, WR Dallas Wilson, CB DJ Pickett, CB Ben Hanks, CB Aidan Anding, DE Iose Epenesa and DT Elijah Griffin.

I wouldn’t call it a fail..but I would be highly disappointed if we don’t get Hanks and Pickett. They should be the top 2 players left on the big board. We are desperate for high level CBs. We should treat them like we treated Samson and Mauigua 2 years ago. Do anything it takes to get both.

not saying you're wrong but aren't we recruiting Pickett as safety?

I haven’t been able to join the zoom yet and I’m sure there’s others like me but if you want a great laugh go back and listen to it but while listening read the subtitles at the bottom as it goes along.

It prints and comes up with some of the craziest interpretations of what’s being said you can imagine.I’m usually in tears from laughing so hard by the time it’s over.

We are gonna get pickett! Hanks I’m not sure about but we have people coaching him that care about this program. But Pickett? We have money family location…..playing time. And he should watch a 10 plus win team this year.

Can’t find the post, but saw this picture from their recruiting weekend thread. He definitely looks he weighs more than 270, they may have meant from a previous weigh in because he looks like he is easily 3 bills. The 6’2 looks accurate tho

Up there with Big Bank Hanks & Pickett.

Didn't add him because he was still committed to LSU at the time.

Thats probably the best we can hope for.
I'd expect to miss on one of Hanks/Anding though and slot Ewald in that spot or just take 4 cbs probably.
