Think one is needed as Franklin/Brown are very pedestrian IMO. Hoping the Citizen dude jumps on board
Citizen got top end speed? I remember watching him with this covid **** but I don't remember lol

Maybe put him in the slot or something? The way I see it Chaney if fully recovered should be 1A, best combination of size/speed. Thad as the chain mover, bruising back. Rooster used mainly as a pass catcher. Brown mostly as a depth piece. Really don't see how this guy fits in he just doesn't seem as explosive off the catch as Rooster. Depth is always good but I don't see this taking over any of backs other than maybe Brown.

After seeing Parish's film and comparing it to Citizen's potential, I think there is more upside with Citizen.

Whether or not you want him, it’s a mistake to say Citizen and Parrish are in competition with one another. Parrish is in competition with Brown and Thad.
But they wouldn’t even mention him if he wasn’t from here. There’s an 1,000 yard rusher sitting in the portal right now and they’re blowing their load over a guy with 1 more TD than Thad on the season.

We need another RB because we’re gonna run the ball... a lot.

Chaney is hurt all the time, Brown is slow as a slug with no wiggle & Thad is a big power back with good upside but still has questions... Knighton is a great back but he’s not a 30+ carry a game type of back.

There are a lot of Backs in the portal I would take too, I got no problem with us taking Parrish considering his RB coach is coming here & he’ll be a healthy body to have in a room that has a lot of questions.

Tbh I’d take 2 RB’s & push Cody Brown out because I don’t think he’s good enough to play here in my most honest opinion, but we’ll see what happens come Spring ball.

Parrish and Knighton are very different players.

Parrish is a far superior runner. Better vision, instincts, and more fluid in his movements. Knighton is the better athlete. Faster, stronger, more explosive. I think you'd have a really good mix of styles with those 2, Thad, and Chaney.
Parrish is not more fluid than knighton . Knighton is the better RB. Would I still take Parrish? Yes… but he’s not better then knighton

The same could be said for Frank Ladson...
Very true BUT in Ladson’s case he’s battled injuries his entire career and we don’t know what he could be because of that. That’s not the case with Parrish. He touched the ball more than 100 times last year.

Brown is shockingly slow, hate to say it but it's true.

Maybe I’m no rb coach…but Parrish looks like he is falling down before anybody touches him… his contact balance is below average. I’m just not impressed with the way he runs. I’d still take him tho.
Are we talking balance or fluidity ? Parrish is noticeably more fluid. Knighton is explosive with speed , and really good in a straight line. But more of a one cut type guy. Parrish also brings some pop to the receiving game.

I thought he was faster I remember his film. HS guys be looking fast vs HS guys. Do we really need a back or can wait till next class?

Parrish was never fast.

What he showed in high school were elite skills as a ball carrier. He has all those subtle moves and vision that allows him to constantly find yardage. You look at him and say, “ He ain’t that big, fast, or strong. We can shut this guy down.” Next thing you know, he has 200 yards and is housing a 40 yarder after shaking two people.

I am not sure he has the athletic ability to be a good pro, but he has the skills to be HIGHLY productive.

The third year is when the game slows down for guys like him and Rooster. They will run with much more balance, control or patience. Parrish will churn out five to ten yard runs over and over.

Parrish fits running and receiving. If we have any injury issues, he will surprise people. Don’t let that short Ole Miss tape fool you. The kid can run and he will make some great plays for us.
