coming around to someone like Drones behind this OL. Run game would be unstoppable.

Talked to some VT fans and they really wouldn’t be surprised if this freshman has a good game tonight they might want to move to him. Tricky because Pry is on the hot seat
Our future QB plays at 730pm. Would kill it in our offense

This OL is going to be phenomenal. Bell, McCoy, Brockermeyer, Cooper and Cici. Holy ****. So far, no transfers out besides Frankie. So that means we have Pancake, Kinsler, Rodriguez, Plazz and SJ ready to come off the bench as needed.

With this level of depth, I hope we rotate sides like a hockey team does once we get up on teams, so the young guys can get some snaps in.

I like the pickup from the sense it allows us to have a lot of experience on the line and also provides a bridge to SJ… (see what I did there?) lol

That said, my question, is he the type of lineman we can pull? Some of Fletchers best runs this year came behind a pulling lineman. I think I remember hearing that we didnt do that alot because that wasnt a strength of our current linemen?
We should run toss left and pull Cooper and CiCi to Bell's side a few times a game next year. Will be mad if we don't. Am prepared to be mad

Top 5 o-line in nation next season I truly believe

The Canes completed their starting OL with the commitment of TCU C James Brockermeyer. The high-IQ, 6’3.5, 300-pounder has played 931 collegiate snaps on both offense and special teams.

Coach Mirabal hopes to hit on his third center transfer in a row after the successful tenures of Matt Lee and Zach Carpenter.

Brockermeyer initially signed with Alabama as ESPN’s #1-rated center in America. After receiving limited playing time, he transferred to TCU where he became the full-time starter and earned Honorable Mention All Big-12 honors.

Brockermeyer comes from a family of OL, as his brother played for Alabama and his father played 9 years in the NFL after starring for the Texas Longhorns.

The Canes beat out USC and Florida State for Brockermeyer’s commitment. CanesInSight was first to report Miami’s interest in Brockermeyer.

Huge get right here. We have a chance to have the best offensive line in the country next season.

At this point I’d take Drones and run with it and I don’t even think he is good. Inaccurate athlete playing QB is what he is. He looked good against us but everyone except for Mertz did, he was subpar overall throughout the year IMO. We’d have to change quite a bit with him under center.

I hope that holds after Spring ball. That is when you start to see the guys who don’t want to keep sitting jump in the portal.

I’d be down for it now. Talked myself into it
Looking at how he would be untilized in this offense would actually be a good fit. Strong running game with play action too. Good deep ball as well and Dawson always wants to go vertical in this offense

not playing tonight seems like he may be out early spring as well with an MCL - did that hinder his performance this year? if so that would definitely change my perspective of how bad he was in 2024

He was practicing leading up to the game. Think he’s fine.
